I'm all good for waiting. I'm also excited to see what the new egi's will look like eventually. I don't want them to be like FFXI Avatars since that's not how Egis work in the lore.

I get the feeling a lot of people still don't accept summoning in Eorzea works differently from prior FF worlds.

It would have awesome if instead of bio, bio II, and miasma, it was a fire dot from Ifrit, a wind dot from Garuda, and an earth dot from Titan. Why are summoners poisoning stuff?
Then we learn either more dots, or skills like dreadwyrm trance from all the newer primals every expansion. Summon a cane of Ramuh for AOE instead of Painflare, Leviathan does a tidal wave instead of fester... I dunno. Just throwing it out there.
You know what.. get rid of the pets, remove most of the dots, give us BLM type magic and replace deathflare skill with something called 'Summon (Primal Name)' that comes into the world to do damage to the boss/trash as it does in every other FF game out there.
Would be wicked to see fat chocobo land on the bosses head every now and then...

I would expect this to be quested. Despite use of the word 'glamour' this will have nothing to do with the current glamour system we have since there are no items involved and this will directly affect skills. An entirely new system will need to be built to manage it. It also would make a lot more sense for SMNs to learn to summon the remaining egis via special job quests rather than random items bought on the market board.

I thought this was going to be about how SMNs are not getting any new Egis anytime soon.
Are people still complaining over this?
All I wanted was to be able to summon the Carbuncles as SMN ...
/sigh
