Completely agree with the OP. I'm a girl, and I like how if you want to look revealing, you can, but you also have the choice not to. Is a nice change from some games![]()

+1, SE has absolutely done great in this regard, especially next to... so, SO many other game companies. Having the option to dress up in skimpy attire is nice, but it's great when that's not the ONLY option (*cough*TERA*coughcough*).
Also no ridiculous high heels on EVERY OUTFIT. Holy balls, why is that a thing?
Still not perfect, however - stuff like the DRG gut window is still facepalm-worthy. I'm just glad that, as far as I can tell, they've moved away from that crap (unless DRG AF2 ends up having a gut window as well, in which case most of my goodwill will be gone :x).

Just because it occurs in real life doesn't make it okay for it to occur in a video game either.. Plus, we know Japan can make some mature looking teenagers and young adults, especially with regards to their male characters (Though.. Girl characters get less of the same unless if by mature means "Big ol' boobs"). Look at Jojo's bizarre Adventure for example or any series that isn't made to pander to the lolicon/moeblob crowd, they can generally make youngish characters not look totally like children and actually like teens or young adults. Also, people can have multiple focuses on both "real world" issues and "virtual" issues, it gets pretty annoying/awful if someone escapes to video games to get away from that crap irl only to encounter it there as well.
But that's off topic, let's not go into children in this game/games in general, there's already a thread for that.
Good news, the DRG AF2 seems to be a whole lot better with regards to weird amounts of skin showing, I just hope it stays the same. Just wish they changed the AF1 to keep either have a /bellywindow option, because I love most of that set.
Lol can i peep :P anyway some skin here and there is fine looking sexy or feeling sexy is fine it's really up to the player. I myself don't show much skin at all since i get shy :P yes i know it's only my toon but stillWhat about the ladies who do the same thing to their male characters? It's a two-way street, everyone likes looking at people they find attractive. I'm dressed pretty conservatively now, because the story takes you to a cold area, but you can bet the second it warms up, I'll be wearing my Flame Elite's Loincloth!
Yeah, Minfillias design is pretty meh, hopefully she'll get a new one soon.
I don't quite understand the "butt flap" on her dress:

Jojo's bizarre Adventure is great
and agreed this is not a thing to be discussed here in this thread, i just read it and had the urge to say/write something, sorry for that.
Ironically, more people get flustered and offended on others behalf when the person/s they're being offended for simply don't care or don't get offended in general. You know what's great?
You're the only person who didn't overreact to that post. You're also the only person that post was even directed at. If only you replied to it, as was intended, no one would have gotten offended over it at all and this topic would be three pages shorter.
Thank you for being rational.
The only reason people call them children is because they're short and have no boobs. Lorewise, they're created that way. They dont have a chest the way a human girl does, all they have is a smooth flat torso. They don't need boobs or even nipples, it serves no physical purpose for them. They also happened to be mischievous, enjoying practical jokes. Hardly makes them children...Lalafells skirt the line very closely imho, Elin are the whole "1000 year old children" trope though >_> Like.. You can say they aren't children because of their behavior to a degree, but you'd be a fool to say they aren't made to look like children for people who want to look like children and act like children, which has some bad connotations associated with it with regards to some activities.
People really need to get it out of their heads that small stature = child. I have friends who are in their 30s that are shorter than my 14 year old sister.
Skimpy sets are fine, So long as the male version is equally skimpy. The DD sets for DoW/M are equally revealing for both sides and i think that's great.I mean, I'm fine with people wearing skimpy sets.. But please don't make it so girls (Or well characters in general) have to deal with "Skimpy armor" that's suppose to be worn by people fighting stuff with sharp blades and all. Honestly I wouldn't mind if SE made more "Battle mage" sets like the soldiery set for healers too.
Kind of facepalm-worthy on WoW when i first found the Warriors Breastplate out of Sunken Temple and discovered that it was literally two dark grey swirls over my characters breasts, that was it. But on a male, that exact same chestplate was full sleeved suit of armor that covered the whole upper body.
I'm super glad XIV hasn't got any of that that I've seen so far.
You can give a children-like character any name, tell its awesome lore , say they are ancient plants or animal or whatever, but if they look like children, they are children.
We are human beings, not dogs that follow what they are told to do so. A Dev or even Superman can tell you that a lalafell or a tarutaru or an Elin are not children but you know they are. And you know that people pick them exactly for their childish looks.
You know that, you just don't want to accept it because you are afraid to be considered a pedophile. If you are not, then there is no need to be defensive about it.
