I had a feeling it might something technical, that's why I said if it's not too much trouble. But even still, don't they already adjust thing to race heights anyways? What so wrong with that? I honestly don't see the purpose of having the sandals, as they already have textures for our bodies from what I've heard

I think it's more of an issue with the angle of feet touching the ground, and not wanting to create movement animations custom to different angles. It's the same reason you won't see super high-heels as an option either.

Also, with how often people discard random wolf fangs, bat wings, horns, lumps of ore, and old potions, the ground is an absolute HAZARD for walking around on in bare feet. Just wait until you run through the broken glass of someone's blinding potion, and end up crawling around like Ray Charles in a Die Hard movie.

I like to think that since the moogles use concealing magic to hide themselves from most people, they're secretly following adventurers around collecting all the random useless junk people toss out. Why? Because they're moogles. Do you really need a logical reason?
