Kind of wishing Bards had kept Healer LB.

Ya i got Bismark in trial roulette yesterday. Near the end of the fight I jump on its back as dragoon and prepare to lb3 it to finish off the fight. Only to have a machinist beat me to it. He was half way across the platform when he did it and it didn't do any damage. So we didn't finish it off and had to go through another add phase because of it.

The amount of Bards and Machinists I've seen using LB incorrectly is too high.

I've seen them wait until adds on a boss are dead THEN use it.

I've seen them kill trash and use it after all but a couple of mobs are dead.

I've seen them use LB as soon as it's up without even giving me time to use it.

I even had a bard tell me the other day that Bard LB does as much single target damage as melee LB.

It's sad

Is bard LB aoe? I'm asking because you said we should be using it with adds up. I play bard and haven't realized it's aoe but I don't understand your point if it isn't.

I still hardly use it though. I only get to use it if the other dps is a MCH or caster and we need single target. I haven't used it once in any dungeon/raid that requires more than four people.

I've got to agree, either using it at the wrong time, OR using it as soon as lvl 1 is charged because OMG WE CAN USE A DAMAGE LB.

Well, do you blame us? I mean, I've literally lost count of all the times my parties have sat on the limit break or waited till the last 5% before using it. I was in a Neverreap run, with a Dragoon as the other DD and both first bosses he never used it. I asked and he practically said, "Waste of time unless you're impatient."... So, yeah, do you blame us? We're just thinking, "You use that limit, soldier, or I'll find someone who can!"

But why continously on trash\adds and not the boss?

Yeah, it's an AOE, a LINE aoe to be exact. However when you use it as a BRD/MCH, you may not realize this.

While I can understand most of the comments, I have to say that before Heavensward, the feedback threads here on the forums
mostly suggested "please SE change BRD LB to dmg".

I'd rather like BRD LB have the choice of either dmg OR heal, that's what I call support to the party.

Either by pressing LB icon once to pop a small window with two smaller icons (dmg / heal) or two seperate LB icons I can choose from.

Well, at least I kinda like the idea <(^_^; )

Dumb post. Everyone misuses LB. Especially melee who won't do it until 1%.
