If you're going to be elitist....don't pug

Seriously. There are a lot of people new to the game, yet you pug then cry when you get a group of new people in a low dungeon roulette. What are you thinking? If you are so great and can't stand ot be around new people.....DON'T PUG!

No, it was not even directed at me, but at the other new people in the group who were in a low level dungeon for the first time. I just can't stand elitists. If you are not willing to help the new people in the community just stop queueing, it is pathetic.

Queue gives you Tomestones and that's basically why a lot of people do it. Not to help people. I know Square Enix probably thought this might be a good way to get higher level players to support lower level players, but sometimes, the rewards for doing so is just not enough to make you care enough to do so.

Thank you so much for having the attitude you do. You are part of what makes this community great. About 20 minutes ago I completed my first ever MMO raid as I ran the first floor of the Crystal Tower. I announced that I was new and while I had watched vids on the content, I hadn't played it so I made a couple mistakes. The group laughed it off, encouraged me, and I had an unbelievable time completing my first endgame content in any MMO I have played. It's an amazing feeling to finally be a part of your first 24 man raid clear, and I played the main story dungeons to get there. Part of the way I intend to pay it forward is to help those new players in clearing story dungeon content so they one day can have the feeling I have right now.

I'm by no means a vet, but when you get in with noobs, help them through it. You were that noob back in the day too.

It's truly an annoyance and I feel it often can discourage a new player. Elitists need to realize as the person above said. They were that noob at some point as well. Someone showed them the ropes of the game. I personally enjoy helping new players. If they start downing themselves. I help them lift their spirits back up and encourage them. Anyways, if anyone reads this. I apologize that you had to deal with those elitists. They are a small minority and truly do not represent the rest of us.

I had a run yesterday in Neverreap, my first time as AST and the BRD's first time as well. I'm just starting to gear up so I was at minimum ilevel (and I suspect the BRD was too, though I didn't check). The tank was geared with all hunt gear. The run went fine, though a little slow since the BRD's DPS was low, but I healed well, buffed and used Time Dilation and Celestial Opposition smartly on card buffs and HoT's, rezzed players from mistakes, and DPS'd with no MP issues. The tank tried to kick the BRD, which was rejected, tried to rush the final boss and wiped himself with me and the BRD in a cutscene, then spewed a massive heap of vitriol upon completion of the dungeon at me and the BRD. It was quite disheartening knowing that I played decently, even adding DPS at a low ilevel, only to get cussed out at the end of the dungeon for trying my best.

Your first sentence is exactly why Square added the currency rewards to the lower level roulette, to get high level players to do it. That being said, if you can't be patient enough to realize this is noobie land and you can't rush the damn thing like you can the high level and expert, then don't do it. Just spam the trial roulette.

Yup, that is the minds set of most High level players. I, on the other hand, love it when we have a new person or two in the group. Means I don't have to stress myself out stress trying to be perfect. It also means I can relearn the dungeon as well. lol I just want to have a fun run through the dungeon even we wipe a few times. We have enough time to learn and get better. That what makes it fun...or else it be super boring. So, new peeps keep going and good luck. ( •̀ᄇ• ́)ﻭ✧

realy for dgn i don't care, the only thing i don't like is someone not reading advice on chat.
on dgn it's fine, to have new players if them can read a chat.
on higher content it's a other story, you can complain about low dps, bad tanking/heal, people not understanding the mechanics, not reading a video to take advice, not reading the chat, players not focus at all.and it's not new players friendly at all because others players don't want to trying for 2 hours something without progress.
But Realy just a dgn ? you don't have the time you don't do it.
I think Dgn it's for stuffing people and train themself to play correctly.
All i have to say to new players is also don't let this affect you, ignore the jerk, if you encounter them, don't feel forced to play with one. ask advice from others players to play your job better it's a mmo rpg after all, it's a social game , read guide ect... do some training, focus. you will not be noob anymore

Is it just me, or is it just easier to help people than be a dick? lol I like to treat others like I want to be treated. I hate elitist jerks who feel so superior hiding behind their monitor and keyboard.
