    It is interesting indeed on why they jumped on the DA bug so fast (Oh shockz they got an "illegal" dps boost) but completely ignore that there are 3 other skills which IMO are with a far greater priority. Darkside MP drain effect being the worst of them all, sure one can fight through the drain by switching it off and just tanking in Grit alone, but still.
    Also the other 2 skills which broke during their first patching of trying to fix DA, namely Abyssal Drain and Dark Passanger. A 3k threat nuke only to recover 300hp? or a 2.5k cone aoe nuke to blind 1 enemy?.. these skills were working during release but now they are somehow unable to fix them.

    i am currently at work myself so cant test them but if the patch notes are true and they only fixed DA double buffing issue then... damn... what the hell SE ?

    Ive ran a few dungeons since the patch updates, Its still broken.

    DarkSide that is, DA works as intended now for AoE's it seems.

    They fixed the AOE skills. Did you bother to read the patch notes??

    The darkside bug relates to the netcode and the way the server refreshes stats so it'll probably take a while to fix, its not as easy to fix as the Dark Arts was. At least they fixed AoE dark arts and living dead.

    All in all I'm happy, I was expecting Dark Arts to be fixed, but neither Darkside or Living Dead this patch, so I got more than what I hoped for.

    Darkside may take the MP, but if you watch your next tick of natural regen it gives it back, how ever much is taken because of gaining/losing buffs it gives back in the next tick. So it's purely graphical and doesn't effect game play at all.

    It affects gameplay in that if you're running on the low end (on the edge, we're edgelords after all!) then the bug can drain you to 0 and remove darkside before the refund occurs, and the refund does not give you back your darkside. Thats the main issue with it.

    Why are you running yourself that low... the entire point of the class is to manage your MP not drain yourself completely. I agree that it's an annoying issue, but it is no where near game breaking if you play the class as it was designed....

    If you're sitting on a pile of MP, you're not making any use of it... you should be trying to use as much as possible to maximise dps and mitigation whilst keeping darkside up, so yes , dipping low and having this bug wreck your darkside is an issue that needs fixing. In the meantime we can play drk "fine", but you just can't play it to the best of it's potential because of this

    You don't have to bottom yourself out though. You can easily maintain ~33% MP while using Dark Arts for every DAable CD and mixing in DA/Souleaters.

    Also if you run so low that you can't Dark Arts without multiple Syphon Strikes or popping Blood Price you are putting yourself in a bad situation. You should always try to keep enough MP to emergency Dark Arts for a Dark Mind or Dark Dance.

    Or picking up AoE threat since every AoE we get costs MP. I had to do this in a Bis Ex clear because the PLD got knocked off so I had to snag all three adds on a whim. If I was super low on MP I never would have pulled it off and we would have wiped.
