    Meh. Can only do whatever your group is capable of, but yes, it's certainly possible to speedrun at the moment. And no, you don't have to be a raging elitist in full i180. You can be using dungeons pieces for the most part, although a couple pieces of tome gear certainly help; can even still rock some quest gear in some slots.

    The low level dungeons are actually pretty easy to speedrun tbh, as long as your tank and healer are both solid. I did most of my leveling dungeons the first time around with big pulls, so you definitely don't need experience or gear, just some awareness and the ability to use cooldowns.

    I think tanks have a harder time keeping aggro now so its up to the tank to decide wether hisand healers gear is enough.

    I ha this one tank trying to speed run but everytime when I got to deathflare in my rotation i just got "pling pling pling" and thr meanies hit me instead.

    I would say wait tell the ilvl 190 gear is out before starting to "spped run"

    3.0 Dungeon mobs seem to have higher HP pool than 2.X dungeon Mobs despite their small numbers populating the 3.0 Dungeons.

    honestly, it feels like SE relies on making everything an HP pinata / gating off areas until you kill everything instead of actually making good / fun dungouns ~_~ Even speed runs often can't go as crazy as we'd probably like because SE is just so desperate to make sure we can't speed run.

    I don't honestly undestand this logic but it's something that's been interesting to me to watch the evolution of. You can really feel the difference in how beefy mobs are at the appropriate item levels.

    Might be my imagination though. Who knows? :3

    I can barely handle it as an AST. I struggle a bit with just normal mobs too.
    But I'm i153...If it's not a PLD then it'll hell on the green earth.

    Honestly, I like getting through a dungeon fast, but at the same time I also would like to not wipe on the trash mobs, so it's a risk/reward that needs to be considered, especially with new or undergeared party members. Plus, what with tanks having damage stances that are pretty good, speed runs don't necessarily need to be "group up and AoE" anymore. Hell, I "speed ran" the Aery with a few guys on my WAR alt and never left Deliverence, even for the bosses, and I was against a Monk and Ninja for aggro. All we did was move from one group to the next with minimal downtime and focused each down very quickly.

    It's not really worth it to speed run or any faster. I would rather do smaller pulls and have the healer and tank be able to help dps in a more safe way than pull half the dungeon and spam Cure 2/Flash while dps go to town. Speed runs are not fun when I heal and are not fun when I tank.

    It bothers me when I'm tanking and the healer tells me "you can do bigger pulls" and the dps in the party are a mnk and a bard or something like that. Why would I pull bigger? That just doesn't make sense. If I can at least a blm or a smn in the group I could consider it. Anything else, just no. If my pulls are not big enough to challenge your "mad healing skills" then instead of standing there doing the manderville dance, you could dps a little.

    In a pug, no I don't think you should speed run yet. I hate running Fractal. People already expect speedruns from it, despite the fact everything there hits like a tank, and most DPS are still pretty awful. The final boss of it is awful to heal. People seem to hate Neverreap because it's annoying, but at least those are mistakes that don't quickly build up. Whereas one slip up in Fractal from anyone can quickly snowball.

    It's not just the healer gear. The dps gear matters also. I can keep up a geared tank who pulls big but not until Christmas -.-
