My brother created a Hume female in FFXI for role play and because he liked how they hold their weapons. He usually plays a Male Hume Monk though.

For me, I'm much more weirded out by the men who think they HAVE to play a male character.

The ones that pick the prettiest male or the beefiest one they can find, were you instantly attracted to his body or face? Sounds creepy to me, maybe something you feel you have to prove?

A few of my best online friends from the early days of FFXI until now played and still play female characters because we enjoy the aesthetics of them. None of us and I assume the majority of the men that do play them are not the closet trolls you like to pretend they are.

Here's my two cents on the matter:

The Female Mi'quote? They make the CatGirl look WORK. Better than a male would, because cats are usually type-casted as feminine animals. If there were another cat-girl like race (Based off, say, a dog.) I'd work better. And no, the Laguz from Fire Emblem don't count. So, don't even think about it.

Anyway, the reason I play as a Mi'quote is because it's exotic, it's removed enough from normal humans but not ridiculous. Yes, I DO have a Midlander Hyur, but I play as him rarely. That and I didn't even design him after me. I designed him off of Dekar from the Lufia series.

I don't see why people complain about other people's characters when the character they should (and have) the most reason to whine is their own. You don't go breathing down every person's neck ranting at them to "Make a realistic character" even though it's the most ironic thing ever because this is a FANTASY game. It's why it's called bloody FINAL FANTASY. If we all held ourselves to the principle that all characters must be 100% accurate to their character, then the world would be a very boring place.

TL;DR version: Stop complaining about others characters not being true to reality. If you want reality walk outside. We'll be here in the fantasy, enjoying ourselves.

(Note:I don't have anything against designing your character 100% after yourself. I'm saying don't force it on others.)

I tried to make elezen and hume but they just didn't feel right. /shrug
