You see, imagine the problems free companies have keeping a static together.
Now imagine it threefold.
I really doubt they would do this considering Coil was 8 man


One of the reasons its hard is because 8 man coils were so exclusive and picky. It is hard to find 8 people, and since classes are better then others in 8 man content you have to not only be restrictive in classes, you have to be elitist in skills as well. You can't just bring anyone.
A 24 man is a lot less restrictive, even allows you to form alliances and makes the game more open.




Personally I'd rather the other direction. I want hard 4 person content.


Never gonna happen.8 man's are boring, I much prefer raids being like Crystal Tower. Raids should be with a lot of people, not 8. Also with the class imbalances I could see people excluding certain classes in 8 mans, however in 24 man's the new classes will be a lot more useful because of raidwide buffs/effects.
I somewhat agree, I would like to see a harder version of whatever the 24 man raid is going to be, with better rewards to match. But I think Alexander should stay as 8. Truthfully I'd like to see difficult verions of all the endgame stuff, including dungeons. I'm actually shocked that a huge chunk of ffxiv's endgame is doing easy ass dungeons over and over for tomestone currency. I'm even more shocked that this seems to be what people prefer.
Sadly.... as it is with current class imbalances goodluck getting into the raids as MCH or BRD. Even with WHM mana concerns I've seen nothing but exclusions of these 2 jobs from activities. Disheartening? OH HELL YES.
But we need buffs for MCH NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW (YESTERDAY EVEN!) before the content comes out.
No please, I prefer the hard part of raiding to be the "kill the boss" part instead of the "mass recruit and static management" part.

THAT SAID: I wouldn't mind the 24-player raid that was more challenging then CT was. We already know we are getting it in 3.1, so we'll just have to wait and see how difficult or easy it is.


The hard raid content is 8-man for one very simple reason: it's easier to organize.
