Tested this on my lvl 35 drk with astrloger in party using regens, mp was massively depleted, even stopped attacking to make sure. This is a huge bug that made me switch back to pld, no thanks SE.

Heh, the first dungeon I did after the hotfix I noticed right away my MP drained faster. I was like "huh, weird, I'm suddenly having more MP issues" and my astro healer was like "strange, especially since I put the MP reduction card on you". Now I know why I had problems there... and that the MP drain issue is very real. xD

New known issues post and still no mention of this issue.
Does this mean you can now troll random DRK's by throwing regen on them when they don't need it when you see them out in open world with Darkside on? Like if you had a WHM Hit Squad throw mult regens on a DRK would it drain their MP super fast? Not that I would do that of course, just curious.
It's a visual bug.
Buffs/Debuffs going up/down force a server tick, and normally while you're idle Darkside + your natural MP regen gets calculated together each natural server tic, but if you force one then Darkside + Nat Regen hasn't had time to properly calculate, making it appear as if you lost MP. It gets properly calculated on the next natural server tic.
So it looks like people complaining about MP draining too fast just need to git gud (or pray SE does some balancing, which hopefully they will).
Still, I hope they fix the visual bug because it's unnerving.
I'm having no problems, in fact I think I need to adjust my rotation since I think I have almost too much MP at times.
You are so wrong it's not even funny. Please stop spreading this false information. It's not a visual bug, we are actually losing multiple ticks of MP in these situations. And before you try to deny it, it can be tested and you will actually run out of MP and not be able to do anything (and Darkside will shut off). It's not just visual.
