I never had any trouble... do people not look at maps anymore?
Not to mention it's called the "Forgotten Knight" because that's the place with all the stuff in it.

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.
Glamour is TRUE ENDGAME
Think of it like this, prior to your memorizing locations, would you have been able to determine which aetheryte name is likely to be used just by looking at a map? Minus the identified aetherytes in the image, which I got from an old thread by ShinSoku. Link
The two right-most aetherytes are quite the equal distance from each other to The Forgotten Knight inn. Not exactly something you'd be able to identify with 100% certainty initially. Unlike The Brume aetheryte, The Forgotten Knight aetheryte has many other potential names it could have gone under otherwise.
Even for the other map, The Last Vigil could easily be The Architects or some generic name like Manor Residence, similar to The Tribunal. It's really not much of a matter of game breaking proportions, as it's just a minor inconvenience. What they're apparently working on, with adding the names to the map icons, is exactly what they should have always done. If that were done to begin with, they might not have had to change the starting towns teleport point names.
