    Are we going to get free days extended to our subscriptions?

    This is maddening. I not only bought the expansion for $40, but now I'm just repeatedly getting either random crashes or error codes at the login screen. I havent been able to login at ALL today. Similar happened yesterday, but I managed to squeeze in just before midnight for a spell.

    This will likely continue through the week for sure. I would like to think Square wouldn't just run with our money in the subscription model for this to be happening. After all, the whole subscription model is supposed to be a "better service" deal and this simply is not happening.

    With all the silence? I don't even know anymore not a damn peep all weekend... Don't care if its a holiday.. Don't pre-release and then let us fend on our own. So chances are probably 20% you'll get extra time.. I'm not getting my hopes up.

    same thing here. I am still on the 30 day trial, but I can't log on half the time. It is very frustrating, and it makes me doubt whether I will get a paid account.

    If they do then I will be surprised. Blizzard did it when the horror that was their WoD launch happened. If SE doesn't then the playerbase knows where they stand with the company.

    Pretty much this. I only purchased ARR about a week and a half ago, and am hardly able to play it as-is with my work schedule. Now with this patch rolling around, it not only claimed a full 24hr period for the upgrade, but every hour of convenience on subsequent days due to repeated 2002 and 5006 errors. 3 hours here, 5 hours there, 6 hours elsewhere... not to mention the disconnects resulting in hitting these multi-hour blocks from playing... And pretty much none of my friends being able to connect when I do manage to get on, anyway.

    All my past experiences with paid services- games, television, utilities, etc- have all offered compensation for unexpected interruption of service caused on their end. I don't care if it's $0.50 per day: the clock is ticking on something I am paying for- and that sort of money adds up when you consider hundreds, if not thousands, of players all losing on that same investment. Cents making dollars, raindrops making floods, all that proverbial jazz.

    SE: In lieu of the weekend I'd scheduled off to play through the game I had only recently purchased my first month of; I, too, would appreciate subscription time reimbursement from 6/19/15 through such a time that the 2002/5009 errors are verified to be remediated.

    You don't pay for server uptime, you pay for access to the servers. Get it? Not a guarantee for 100% uptime, a guarantee that you will be allowed online when the server can accept you. Stop whining about this. I haven't had the smoothest experience myself but damn... you all sound ridiculous. 1 free day? Spare yourself the humiliation and keep in mind that this happens for 99% of EVERY MMO LAUNCHES!

    Its been ~3 days of issues and 2 additional days of maintenance.
    There are lots of MMO games out there now that no longer charge subscriptions, and they don't have this kind of downtime. Its not whining.

    You want to know what whining is?
    Guild Wars 2 players complaining that the next expansion pack is $40.
    We pay that AND a subscription fee AND face downtime.
    Notice the difference?

    There are nearly hundreds of forum complaints about this and only a single community manager response about Aether's datacenter just being too crowded because of Balmung and Gilgamesh. That's Jenova's fault because....? So we lose value out of our subscription because SE can't be bothered to maintain their DCs better? Its not like other DCs have been down. So its not even the whole launch, its this single neglected cluster of design. Other MMOs are also quick to respond to these matters and give players free time. There is nothing "humiliating" about it, until people like you come out and do it to yourself.

    But most games, when they do have a huge amount of downtime like this, do give people time back. It's more "good customer service" then anything I will admit. But there is a reason most mmos do it, they don't want their customers to feel like they don't care.
    While I'm not one to cry for it right now. (I would love an fashion item though for these past 3 days. *HinthintSE*) If it keeps up a week or two and we don't get free time I will be extremely upset.
