Well people do use Otaku term loosely and in a hurtful way when it actually means being a nerd/geek at something. there are even sports otaku.
Cringing make me cringe

if i recall correctly dosnt the term OTAKU, literally mean (unhealthily) obsessed, and theres even a few different terms for the severity of the otaku i think nekigomori (not sure if thats correct) means like otaku who shuns reality, and is someone who completely rejects the real world for the fake one they obsess over...
anyway for the cringe, people who learn i am british and try to use the fake british voice, or type saying gov'ner or constantly ask me for tea, it makes me cringe because of the heavy stereotyping but the cringy part is where they honestly beleave that >.....>
in some cases the japanese voices have a better performance, and thats what i like but i don't fully understand the spoken japanese, so i switch to english and listen to a few cutscenes where the proformance should be good for some really well done japanese voice acting.
Sometimes you just got to have Some fun
