    Heavensward Launch Trailer! [Heavensward Spoilers]

Released only a few minutes ago:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGFZ...ature=youtu.be

Some major story spoilers in there. A few things I noticed:

    • It would seem we get a new, more powerful Blessing of Light somehow.
    • Lahabrea merges with... something. Halone? Zodiark? It would seem the theories of his obsession with merging man and god were true.
    • The Floating Continent seems to be central to the story.
    • The Archbishop of Ishgard is aware of the Ascians and speaks to the WoL about them. Maybe he's not in league with them after all?
    • The Warrior of Darkness is entering the story. It would seem we're following closer to FFIII's story than we realised.
    Anything I missed?

No, in the french version the pope clearly says :"Yup I know the ascians, they promised me their help against the dragons so I accepted".

The one merging are the warring triad imho.

Thats weird because in the German version he says something similar to : "The Ascians are Heralds that bring ruin and chaos to this world"

Warrior of darkness is Lahabrea and Iceheart made one. That voice sounded to familiar.

If anything the voice sounded like Hydaelyn which has me worried given the theories that Zodiark may be a corrupted Hydaelyn...

    Looks intense.

Also looks like they've shaken up the voice cast, but that's OK.

Gonna hold off on speculation, but man I can't wait to get though 3.0. Though I'll be holding off on it until I get Dark Knight up, I totally can't wait now.

    - Kan-E-Sanna mentions the Lifestream, so that's a concept they have kept as well.
    - Relatively at the end (before the Ascians get their screentime), there is something that looks like an allagan machine that descends through a brown-greyish layer of clouds. This hints multiple things:
    - First: That machine seems to be of similar size as Alexander, but bears different style of appearance. Maybe that is connected to Dalamud & the Coil, the other giant machines they built?
    - Second: Not only the Skylands are hidden in the sky.
    - Third: The strange color of the clouds suggests that either there has been a large stirring of dust (similar to the howling eye or a huge explosion/impact), or the area of descent bears a very special atmosphere.
    - I agree that the voice of the merged woman does not sound like Iceheart. The difference is small, however.
    - The dragoon opposing the griffin (maybe Estinien?) is missing one horn of his helmet.
    - The fight against Ravana composes of at least 3 phases (4 swords, 2 swords, bladed staff)
    - The imperator could talk to the WoL about either the Ascians, or the primals.

Thats what I wanted to add so far.

I'm fairly sure that was the Floating Continent. We've seen concept art of it before and the dark clouds and strange structure match what we've seen in the art.

The part with Kan-E Senna communing with the elementals for something (apparently trying to find something) was great though. Wondering how Raubahn gets out of prison though; wasn't expecting that so soon.

Well, "these creatures" is kinda vague. For all we know he could be talking about the dragons.

True, that part is vague, but there aren't many things that "threaten the world by their very existance", as he states right afterwards. The primals do, due to their aether-consuming (after all, aether and crystals are what the Garleans are intersted in, too), and the Ascians do as well due to their very nature and also indirectly aether-consuming plans, scheming and helping with summoning stuff. (after mog, you can't really call it "monsters" anymore)

Dragons surely are a vicious, mighty, fearsome race for someone with a control-fetish - but I don't think the Garleans hate them enough to proclaim such a rigorous statement.
