The i95 Moogle wand is the best looking WHM weapon in the game. Sadly it's totally worthless at this point. I would've liked them to have done this a year ago but with the expansion dropping in a week, they have no reason to.

They aren't different. Your character does all their casts in the same manner whether they have a one handed weapon or 2-handed weapon. SE would have had to spend more time on animations just for those 2 classes so they just designed casting to accommodate both weapons types.

huh, this is true for the casting weapons indeed...my bad. The fact that every single other 1h+offhand thingy in the game uses the GLD/PLD animations threw me off til i tested it in game
I'd imagine this is because of how the glamour system works. The glamour system is basically an overlay of the regular gear system. They'll let us glamour 1 handed weapons (which only TWO classes in the entire game have this as an issue for, and even then it's only older equipment that's either pre-50 or grandfathered from 1.0, or both) at the same time they let us glamour multi slot items over single slot items and items locked to specific classes onto classes that can't wear it. They'd have to make changes to the glamour system's core features to allow this, and all of those things. Which means a lot of work for what amounts to maybe half a dozen items that people would ACTUALLY want to glamour.
It sucks, but that's just the way it's going to be, especially since they've obviously abandoned 1h weapons for CNJ and THM now.

I think they're probably going to phase out the one-hand/shield of those two Jobs eventually, so I doubt they would make the effort.

Maybe they should, at least, provide 2-hand versions of those weapons though.

they are basically already phased out, they have not introduced a new 1 handed caster wep since levi. but it doesn't seem all that difficult to make it so you can glamour them on to a 2 handed one X_X i like how small they are compared to the full size staffs.

I've always preferred the option of a one-handed BLM weapon and shield for PVP use and a two-handed BLM weapon for PVE use.

I support glamouring 1 handed weapons on to 2 handed, I made my character look like y'shtola recently but I can't glamour the look onto my whm cause a. The highest level wand is i100! b. Y'shtola doesn't use a shield so even if there was a high level wand I'd still be using a wand and no shield. So I'd still be gimped. If I could glamour a wand on to a cane it would fix both issues.

I support this =c It's really sad when someone puts so much time and effort into making a model and the textures for it, only to have the very people you make it for not use it AT ALL because it's not "viable" and you can't put the item onto the viable piece of gear.

Yes please! As someone who mains whm would love to use some of those weapons I've got lying around for glamour.

Yeah at least they should let us glamour those one-handed weapon for WHM/BLM. It's kinda pointless for crafter's view to make one-handed primal weapon if it cannot be used for vanity.
