Please Allow 50's to Enter Ishgard w/o having completed MSQ

I'm surprised so many level 50's are complaining they need to complete the main story. You need it to unlock content like dungeons. Also it's like.... the main part of the game, a FINAL FANTASY game.

This is what's funny about this entire thread lol.
You got 50's with their sword and shield ready to defend the beloved newbies over a story...but the Great God forbid if a new person wanna watch a CS or is new in the dungeon
then scream at their faces over it. Now all of the sudden, they matter. Meanwhile, a lot of the new people already knew this and are dealing with it.
Playing the Justice Friends for people who don't even need it or care about it lol.

I get that some people don't really play for the dungeons and DoW / DoM portions of the game... but... wake up to the reality THAT STORY STUFF IS THE FOCUS OF THE GAME. The battle system was created to be the forefront of XIV, not crafting.

Also I'm happy with the requirements. It means GSers won't be spamming shouts / yells in Ishgard.

You cannot possibly be that naive. I agree that the story is good though. Mugiawara is 100% right, too; most of the people whining about it aren't even affected by it and are ostensibly arguing on behalf of the people who aren't going to be bothered by it. lawl

My concern is with the mandatory 8 player trials. Who the hell is going to queue those after he?

even without the requirements bots would never go to ishgard, sorta like they don't go to mor dhona.

Sub 3.0 content will not have mandatory 8 to progress... theyve said this on numerous occasions.

These players can also DF and get priority placement in 'new' instances, which means anyone doing roulettes will be assigned very quickly with these people, over those who are grinding a specific trial repeatedly.

Bot characters would have to be manually leveled up unless the RMT farmers figured out how to make a impressive script. This is an ingenious way to lock out RMT from post-50 content.

It won't kill em, but damn will it hit em hard.

The major benefit of forcing new players to go through the content is that the content stays alive. This means that the launch of Heavensward does not in effect destroy the relevance of 2.0 content. Gating Heavensward extends the life of the game, and justifies all of the content that is in the game all ready.

Stack on top of that the systems and updates that Dude mentioned above my post, and the fact that we STILL have roulettes to help with that content. Newbies will be fine.

This thread is not about helping newbies. There's plenty that you can do to help them with the 2.55 gate intact. This thread's about helping players with crafting and gathering mules to get a head start on controlling the market for new 3.0 items more quickly.

That kind of stuff is gated through the story quests here, too. Can't get a mount until you join a grand company, for example.
