I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

Something new that I have not seen before.
Like bears. Bear people.
But really, something that has not been used 17392921743921748971984789 other times in other FF/mmo games.
Bird people! >.> Yes, with beaks, feathers sprouting from the tail area and from the elbows. the beak would be the nose, they can still have human-features and everything. They can be as tall as a miqo'te or shorter, but taller than a Lalafell.
edit: I'll have to draw one up someday D:
Yes! And make it lore-friendly!! Perhaps moogles have the ability to use forest magick to morph into battle mode (standing as tall as lalas and would explain the useless leftover wings) to join the fight against the Garlean invasion. PLEASE SE!! I will donate my left @$& to the cause!! MOOGLE WITH A BATTLE AXE!!!
For Lorewise, they could easily do something like.Yes! And make it lore-friendly!! Moogles were born of the forest.
Garleans intrigued by their magic abilities captured them and performed experiments on them, cross breeding them to create a new race they simply call Mogs.
Mogs have highly Technological Ability but also have Geomancy powers that they can share with people.
Result?> Storyline Introduction of Moogle Based Race (Based off of the FFT appearance) Engineering(Crafting) and Archanist(Class)/Geomancer(Job) character choices.

What about a race like the monkey kid of FF9.
Planet of the apes online lol![]()
I like the Ivalice races and all, but I feel they should stay in Ivalice. Part of what makes these universes so special is the fact that they are self contained. I feel having variations on the Vana'diel races is different from pulling the races from an entirely separate game world as XIV seems to be prepared to eventually replace XI, rendering the old races unused so people will still be able to play as what feel familiar to them (Minus my tail, you butchers). The Ivalice games can be played by anyone at any time and all the lore of the universe is contained within the Ivalice games.
I say, if we add new races, make them new. Make them unique to Eorzea.
