I don't disagree with you at all OP, unfortunately that's just the way the world works. People don't look twice when they see a woman walking down the street wearing a sport coat and slacks, but they would stop and stare (and probably talk some sh**) if they saw a man in a dress.

People would also stop and stare if a 5 foot talking cat were walking next to a baby wearing a loincloth. The real world should have no bearing on a fantasy setting.
