[REQUEST] Can we have a more original race next time?

"Ugly" gritty, dirty, western-style characters.

A great many people seem to be regarding the request for more exotic features as wanting something ugly. I for one don't want an ugly bestial character. I want a beautifully feral and exotic one.

(Not meaning to pick on you in particular Kisai, just picked a convienient example from all the references to "ugly" characters.)

They should add some beastmen races as options (the friendly/neutral ones, at least). I could just imagine all the excess of Qiqirn players running around. I'd imagine it could even rival the bikini cat girls that are running around currently.

The heads look like Barbie. The hair reinforces it. That's the biggest turnoff for me. Can't even give them sharper features, they're all soft and sweet. The tribal difference is color palette.

As many have already said, lots of people just want something that doesn't look like a high school Halloween party.

They don't have to have extra limbs in weird places to be feral, or savage looking. Nor does feral equal ugly. They took races that were already distinctively feral and watered them down to horrible cosplay.

Galka lost their tails, and slightly altered porportions. They used to have much longer arms and shorter legs making them almost gorilla like, and the tail. They were DISTINCTLY not human, but now are just body builder people.

Mithra lost the cat nose, peach fuzz over their entire bodies, and their facial marks look like bad tattoos now when they used to be more like natural stripes.

When people say less human we don't all mean jump immediately to something without 2 arms and 2 legs. Just with some damn attitude and less salon hair.

I tried to recreate my mithra from 11. It just didn't work. At all. So I just made the fiercest one I could come up with. SE can have all my fantasia money if they just add something that isn't just human + headband.

I would like propose the addition a quest line that for twenty four hours, gave a buff in game that would lock a characters appearance in to that of a beast tribe model. Basically one would go to a friendly beastmen encampment ask four a glamour of that race (one which would be available at a low reputation level) and take the form of that beastmen for a full day without the option for turning it off. No new animations would be needed, no new lore, fights would work the same way as always just with the glamour on, just a quick quest. Something to the effect of "A mile in their shoes (claws/feet?)". Make this an event to measure just how popular a feral, ugly, vicious race would actually be, hell make a two day buff only obtainable at level 50. Just to show the developers their hard work would not be in vain.

What alot of people are missing here is that for all the races that have been mentioned, unique models had to be made for all the armor they can wear. Draenei all have unique head and foot wear models. And Mass Effect dodges the issue altogether by just having the aliens fall into the 'Standard Uniform' trope, allowing only the main character to change appearance whenever. The Au Ra only really forced them to make unique head wear models, their legs could easily be set to use existing miqo'te assets and scaling applied as normal.

I agree. I think this looks better!
