Any point in finishing current Relic Weapon questline?

Cause while the weapon looks AMAAAAAZINGGGGGGGG (wow, amazing for real!)... there is no way in hell I will be able to complete that questline within even the next month.

And I heard that the Heavensward will introduce a completely new relic weapon, so the entire point of breaking my back for this current one will be obsolete from what I've gathered.


So opinions, thoughts? Any point in actually bothering with this hell ridden weapon grind?

It is said that having Zeta will give you a leg-up in the quest for the Heavensward Relic Weapon. That said, I wish I'd have not been so lazy and actually done the books for Animus, but the books really aren't any fun.

I honestly had more fun during the Atma phase of running from FATE to FATE.

There's an achievement and title for getting a relic to Zeta stage. The weapon is also dyeable so if you want it for glamour, go for it. IIRC they've mentioned that they're going to nerf the questline big time come 3.0, main reason to do it now is to have something to do while you're waiting for launch.

if you like a specific form, you can get zeta do that in 3.0 you can glamour your new weapons into any of the relic forms if you so choose. (gerolt does it for anyone who gets zeta)

Wait until HW launches and see what they do to the questline. At that point you can decide whether or not you care.

You've correctly stated that you don't have time to finish it now, so you might as well wait for them to nerf the questline.

Ya as others have said wait till 3.0, itll be much easier to do if you want that glamour. The relic is more something to do in between content patches, or when your not raiding. Right now you would have to finish it in 2.5 weeks which really isn't enough time IMO.

I'm going to try and get the Atma Relics for my other 8 classes I have the Zenith Atma. Would love to get the Zodiac and Zeta forms of the other classes.

The leg up might be merely a means of having better stats when going into heavensward vs the guy without a zeta or a dreadwyrm wep.
Its not like you'll be able to start a relic quest right when u start 3.0, so the headstart is still shady/ wishful thinking.

I dont know is this true or not, but I have heard that current relic is linked with the HeavensWard.
So you need to complete it if you want for the HeavensWard.
Level sync can be removed for low level content after HeavensWard release,
I think to obtain level 50 relic would be more easier when Heavensward coming out... Hope so.
