Amazing post. 10/10
I'm really surprised you like puks. I -HATE- puks and avoid them at all cost. They are quite possibly (imo) the worst possible mob to kill. I go for marmots, squirrels, diremite as my first choices. After those I like beastmen (bonus exp makes up for difficulty), dodo, ladybug. Then pretty much everything else.
For 1-10 I find south of Drybone the best, killing squirrel and dodo, levels range from like 10-17 or something. Then I move to the area east of Horizon where there are more squirrels and dodos that will take you to around 17 or 18. Then at that point I go to Camp Glory and run along the road killing squirrels. I did Archer 1-24 in one day with this post patch with lots of afks so it wasn't constant play, probably roughly ~6-7 hrs total 1-24. I don't plan on taking anything beyond that in the near future so after the Glory squirrels I don't know where I'd go, but popping open your favorite database and looking for squirrels +10-13 levels is a good way to find your next camp.
Good post though, I am sure a lot of new players will find this helpful.
Pugalist
Trick to avoid fire breath is whenever they are below 50% never be at their mouth. They turn to you, circle strafe to thier side... they will either turn to you again, or breath where you were standing before and miss you.
I use Featherfoot + jarring strike combo, as well as Foresight II, (diversion when I get it also, have 35 lnc), bloodbath2+concussionblow2, and second wind II. I also use Sentinel whenever featherfoot+foresight are both down.
not sure if i used much else besides normal invig/ragingstrike etc
*Edit
It might really only be possible for someone with most jobs @36+, or for sure L50physical. (my stats are 100 STR, 145 VIT, 85 DEX, 80 MND)
Most of the skills I use are obtained by L36 though :O

thank you for doing this.
This post has actually improved the quality of XIVs gameplay for me I just wanted to let you know that. It's so great to be rewarded for something else than leves for once. The whole word leve started to give me a gag reflex until I tried these solo tactics!
This is awesome, getting one of my friends back in the game soon, and this will help a lot for cutting down time spent wasting figuring out what mobs to fight and waste time which we don't have a lot of these days, thanks^^

Excellent post, it will be very helpfull. Thank you!!![]()
This is great but everyone is piling into the solo areas haha, I think we all need to contribute and look into alternatives and post them here! I will have a look this evening if I can get time =D
Thank you so much Azury! Your hard work is very much appreciated![]()
Thanks for the mention Azurymber, good post. Although, I want to add that while the directory I wrote up was geared toward parties, you can safely assume that in most cases soloing is possible at almost all these camps by just going out to camp 1 to 3 ranks above the cap I have listed depending on your ability and the mobs' weaknesses/strengths.
Additionally, I'm glad you mentioned the Pteroc camps in Coerthas as they were a fine, albeit later discovery of mine.
