Rank 18 BSM, i have a +2 weapon and a full crafting set, 70 craftsmanship and 50 control. I do a level 15 leve that does not require a facility and repeatedly fail on white standard syntheses when i should just be acing it entirely.
What gives?

heres an update... i did a level 15 GLD leve as a level 14 goldsmith, it required a facility but i did it anyway, also i had about 20 less craftsmanship than i did as BSM cause my weapon is worse. i aced the whole entire leve, hardly failing at all even though it required a facility.
something isnt right here for me to fail while using Makers muse on whites with a+2 weapon on a lvl 15 leve as a 18 BSM.
also, when im at a facility with masters access i can easilly craft level 24 items as 18 BSM, but struggle on a lvl 15 leve?

If the leve is of rank 15, it means that the actual craft for that leve is somewhere 15-20 (usually rank 18).
What exactly was the item you were asked to make, and did it show any training skill requirements?
Also as far as the crafting stats go, how did you add the stats, from whats shown in the stats window or manually?
You forgot to mention your mg craftsmanship, how high is it?
Also you mention a weapon (your referring to your tool i guess), what rank is it?
Answering these questions should help us figure out what your crafting problems are. ^^
remember to take into account the Element of the game hour and the moon, i have found that it affects greatly the fail/win ratio look only your element vs element chart and learn your element hours and moon faces ando you will be a happier crafter

I think a level 15 leve can ask you to make something anywhere between 15 and 19. Perhaps the item itself was a bit higher? Perhaps the item keyed more off Mag. Craftsmanship? It's hard to say. Crafting can be a bit too random at times. I can easily have stretches of good luck and bad luck on the same item.

Also, does the craft require a sub craft? If you are making chakrams or bronze knuckles your leather working skill could be the mitigating factor.

Lacking Training manuals? If you're focusing on Craftsmanship, the recipe probably needs M. Craftsmanship then.

Also keep in mind that Maker's Muse is not very effective except for recipes that create more than one item (i.e. mass production). For this reason, I generally find making finished items is more difficult then making materials.
Maker's Muse and Fulfillment work very well for making bulk material synths, but have little effect for finished item synths.

70 craftmanship at lvl 18?! wow!

Yeah..sounds unlikely to me as well :P
Dunno tho, maybe its possible..somehow, +2 would probably add a decent amount of stats.~
