I'm predicting major complaints a few weeks in when you can't get trials done because there's no reason for folks to go there anymore.

I'm hauling ass to get to 50 before I can't get a df run for stuff. Others won't be so lucky.

The main story req is mainly a barrier against the RMT going there, I think it will be not so hard complete 2.55 Main Scenario and go to 50 with one 'old' job, to be able get new one then.

Yes I understand you want go a new job immediately, but on the view about that job being part of an 'expansion', have sense ask you complete old content first. NIN were put on old content and in fact, you were able do it straight away when released.

Me personally, I'm a dungeon crawler. I don't do a dungeon run once and then beat my head on raids from the day I get there on.
I with my Healers, Tanks, and several DPS likely not making it to 50 before 3.0 I'll be doing older content at the least.
I think some people are making waaaay to big a deal about this. Its a very minor issue if it even is one at all.

DF is total crap now because no one plays tank and healer. New Tank and Healer gives incentive. You hit the High level or low level DFs to help grind to 60 and you WILL be paired with new players. Thus rendering this argument moot.

You're acting like there are only going to be a few dozen new players. 3.0 will bring them by the THOUSANDS. There will be enough to make the teams. You seem to think there are only end gamers out there. I cant even cue a 2.0 dungeon any more with out seeing "One or more players has yet to complete this duty. A bonus will be awarded for speedy completion." So there are and will be enough new players. Then again I guess Excalibur is a different community than Balmung that must be more intolerant of new players since if you're to take an example of there doesn't seem to be so much as a tank to spare for early progression.

Have the appropriate classes/jobs high enough (MRD and/or GLA for DRK)

There is no appropriate class for any of the 3 new jobs. They automatically start as Jobs. There will be cross classes ie DRG pulls from PUG/MRD But there is no base class for the new jobs.

You're under the impression that we're getting a whole new set of duty roulettes, we're not. 1-49 and 51-59 will all be Low Roulettes, Hard (Will be what it is now) and Expert will be the level 60 dungeons. There is no grand scheme to oust the new players as you seem to think there is and FYI Duty Roulette and Duty Finder are linked so get ready, Sastasha and Qarn aren't going anywhere.

No base class means it doesn't level up a class as it levels up, not that classes/jobs aren't required to unlock it. You need archer to 15 to unlock BLM, but archer isn't a base class for BLM.

No Soul Crystal and no Base Job likely means you walk in and the NPC goes "Hey Wanna be a dark knight!" and you go "SURE!" then they go "Righteous, here's your great sword and your first job skill, now go pwn some noobs and come back in five levels".

By the point you pick them up you should have a shit tone of job skills from just leveling your main's cross skills.

That's how base classes work, will we also be able to pull cross class skills from every class and set twice as many as other jobs?
