This is some great news.. ^_^ oh please bring viera race to this game i dont mind taking a boat to the Mazlava,Theueari or Cieldalaes. Any of those island if they live there.. Make any of those island a sacred place so only the few, the proud the ..can go ^_^

I sort of feel the opposite to a lot of the posts I'm seeing, I think the races should be Final Fantasy races or completely new ones if this would ever happen. That said, I am quite happy with what we have but here are a few I like.

I definitely want to see the return of Yagudo, Lamia, Trolls, Orcs and Quadav too.
Also, can we Riiiiiiiiide Ze Shoopuf?!?!

I'd personally like to see examples of the ffxii/fft races (Baknamy, Bangaa, Nu Mou, Rev and especially Viera) I think playing them would offer a very unique experience

I know its been discussed a bit back and forth. But I really hope as a thank you to those of us who have stuck it out through the games 'Dark Days' we get a chance at gender/race swaps at least once, even at a fee.

What ever they add, even if its a Viera Reimagination, They better not be gender locked. We don't need that habit again.

I'd love to see different factions, but SE is very much about making the players work together. Even the PvP is going to just be some form of sport or friendly contest.. so I don't think we'd see different factions.

Although highly unlikely, I'd love to be able to play as the beastmen we currently have.

Again unlikely, I'd like to be able to play as races from FF12/FFTA/FFTA2. Moogles, Seeq, Bangaa.

Seeing as FFXIV/FFXI is kind of.. split from those though, any new races we see I'd like to be more beastlike such as a nearbeastman of sorts if we cannot get direct beastmen. Something more creaturelike for sure.
