Water dming spells would be pretty cool. Not sure what dmg niche it would fill since we have a Single Target, DoT, and AoE with Holy filled, but I'd like it just for aesthetics sake.

One thing to remember: VERY few Final Fantasy games have the player characters able to use Water spells outside of A.) Water itself, and B.) Summons (Generally Levi.). X is the only main numbered game I can think of that let you use Ra and Aga water spells, though funnily enough no water summon (probably because SIN was technically the water summon).
So basically going by the usual trend, there probably won't be many water spells at all.
Stone3/Aero3 is quite a let down. If they secretly put Ruin3 on Summoner too and didn't announce it today I will probably barf.
I rarely use Aero2 as it is.

I'd just be happy with a Fluid Aura II AoE spell, really.

Just give whm dispel, and we'll have a water spell![]()

give whm quake, flood, tornado naoooo!!

Just wanted to pop in regarding the lore evidence of healing spells being water-based, since it seems the idea was ditched.
This is taken from the level 5 conjurer quest:
I had interpreted that bit as "healing is water", or at the very least, not earth or wind, since healing is all that Sylphie can do. Of course, since it's not outright stated, you are free to interpret it as you wish.As you yourself have witnessed, Sylphie possesses a natural talent for the conjury of mending and restoration. Alas, her gifts appear to have blinded her to the need for study, and she outright refuses to learn about the natural world. She knows nothing of the elements of earth and wind, and is quite incapable of conjuring even the tiniest pebble or the faintest breeze.
Either way, it doesn't seem like new water-based offensive spells are planned for now.
