A huge disadvantage for new players?

So, recently i made a new character on a new server, people don't seem to realise how difficult it is to now do stuff once reaching lvl50, so today i am ilvl 66, it has taken me 2-3 days to get that, from doing CT1, and a few lvl 50 dungeons, and buying stuff from MB, today during a Copper Bell HM and a Brayflox HM people dropped out multiple times because me and my fiancee (who is a paladin) could not "perform to their standards" for example, big pulls, high DPS, and not loosing aggro (A il60 Paladan vs a 110 Level synced DPS) They were vulgar, offensive and selfish. Now We like to play the new player card, get them to explain tactics and such as if we had never done it before, and this went badly.

So my main worry is, new players that come once Heavensward is released, and later, they are going to have a lot of trouble.

P.s Yes we played the new player card in our FC aswell, too which they replied, "Can't help you, busy with raiding, crafting, other stuff" over a 3 day period, nobody helped us, so we always had to queue.

If your FC isn't usefull for you, you should find one more friendly. Don't stay with people who don't care of you just because you want a FC tag :3

yea it is but ilvl gear at 50 is really quick, you might be low begining so where we all. But few dungeons runs and ur catched up.
I tested with my old character i stoped played that one after 1.0 was over but i was manage to get full 110 pretty fast.

When heavensward comes out there will be 3 new classes so dungeons gona be more active then it is now.
And the old content is more like optional for them to do.

You get a lot of soldiery from Duty Roulette: Main Scenario. I told all the new 50s in my FC to get some soldiery that way, once you get ilvl 120 gear you can do a lot more stuff. Also, you could see if anyone could make you the Goldsmith accessories for you.

idk how it is on your server, but A mobs are basically half ignored now on mine - which is actually pretty agressive on S still. You can get 680 soldier if you get to all in one cycle, two cycles are like 7-8 hours if you can spend it in one stretch on the weekends. Add a main scenario roulette for another 140 tomes + low level and youll have 1600 tomes at the end of the day. Or 3 i100 pieces + 1 accessoire. (+ the occasional 100 soldier from S mobs + possible gear from Seals)

As soon as you can jump into Syrcus Tower, get yourself a tomestone from there and get tokens for 1300 soldier so you get a i100 weapon. From there on you can start building up with sands/oils/poetic gear. The lowest crafted weapons are i70 - the i90 are even cheaper to make, maybe you should find a nice crafter for some HQ weapons (or get the zenith weapon, the quests are really easy to do even with low gear) - melding is not required - a high weapon should always be your first goal as it is the biggest factor when it comes to performance of a role

Good luck gearing up - it's just overwhelming at the beginning but it will flat out pretty soon ^.~

However, the point that Nevaldus is trying to make is not that it is hard to gear up, but the general attitude and willingness to help your fellow adventurers.

Most of the people you meet will mostly play for themselves, rather then actually playing with each other. You have to find that person who is willing to set aside his/her agenda/time in order really help those "in need".

Certain D.bags started all this with their AK speed run vids long ago. Snowball turned into a mountain and ofc everyone else knows how to play the game better than you do regardless of your role in that instance. Ilevel and enmity relying so heavily on dps/crits are 2 of the worst things about this game imo.

Cause apparently those people started the game with the highest level and the highest gear , they've never been new before! lol
