Poll/Discussion: Which playable race would you want in Final Fantasy XIV after Au Ra?

I would actually like them to create brand new race rather than to copy paste from other final fantasy game.
Something without tail but with wings would be nice, but it would be hard lorewise to explain why they would be able to fly only in Heavensward areas.
I think harder than for mounts.

They could make the air of the Heavensward areas flow with aether, thus allowing mounts (Kirin) that can walk on air by walking on aether, and winged creatures and races that are too large (compared to wingspan) to fly on air, could have wings that create lift with aether, but when there isn't a high concentration of aether, such creatures/people are landlocked?

I agree completely with this.
I don't really want FFXIV to turn into a "fanservice" game so an original race would be preferable. Wings would be cool.

Just have their normal movement animations all be hovering an ilm or two off the ground in non-flight enabled zones. They can still "fly" without it breaking the current design.

I love characters with wings so im 100% for Gria/Aegyl but Gria especially because the pics of the character were super cutesy and I would insta race change. Also it would be cool if they could fly without the use of a mount.
