Why Not Remodel the Summons?

Actually i was wondering as well why did they created this avatar with his original shape but made garuda, titan and ifrit egies. They are all avatars but only one of them looks like a real one, that one that only arcanists can summon and that we can't even have access after we become summoner. I wish they remodel them they are the most messed up in all final fantasy history.

Carbuncle is actually a mathematical construct of aether with a bunch of pre-programmed moves built in, it will never grow or absorb aether the way primals do. Carbuncle has personality yeah but it isn't actually like an egi which is literally left over primal you got on your shirt and could with time become a primal if not perfectly controlled. The only similarity between them is that they are both mathmagical

I hope we 3.0 gives them a spell that temporarily turns them into mini-primals like the ones in XI for a boost in power.

I really must be the only person who hears the explanation for the egis' appearance, accepts it from both a lore and aesthetic standpoint, and actually thinks it works well. The appearance doesn't bother me, though I think a very detailed but still small version would. It also seems appropriate given the actual power they wield, but that really just opens things up to another common complaint.

I appreciate how the egis look. They are abstract representations of the original primals and of the element those primals embody - exactly the kind of thing you'd expect when trying to construct a pseudo-primal using a geometry textbook.

Because I love having a summon that looks like it's made entirely of chicken nuggets stuck together.

That's the thing, we don't want them to look abstract.. why not the same look as the primal but smaller or maybe a graphical effect attack when attacking like the image below, doesn't has to look like a pet following you

Maybe once we get enough Egis, they'll finally give up and decide to just make "enhanced" versions of each summon, separating the two classes so for SMN instead of Summoner 1/2/3/4/5 and so on, it'll be Summon: Fragmented Ifrit/Summon: Fragmented Garuda etc. to show that we are capable of controlling just a bit more of their power.

That sounds good to me, would make sense after all!

Full fledged summons that use their signature moves are coming soon. There are other systems taking priority right now but it is in the works. Until then, these are elementals so i dont see what the problem is.

There is still an implementation plan for the summoning system where adventurers can call a primal. Since there's currently a lot of content already planned to be implemented, it's been moved to the back of the list for now.
