It would not be so bad if I have not done about 30 duty finder groups being paired with another scholar in every queue minus 2 white mages but please allow scholar duo's to sync better in the duty finder queues or change the system to never pair scholar together please.

the sync of the sch is pretty nice. 2 fairies who handle the DPS classes almost alone, with 2 selene you have always both speed buffs active, with eos double HoT. one sch shield the tank, while the other heals, then switch. so you have almost the whole time a shield on the tank without bursting your mana. same thing for group damage: i don't know the english names from the skills, but one can cast the group shield while the other makes that big blue dome-like shield... xD

it's harder than 2 whm, but you can combine 2 sch very good together.

if i as a whm can heal all the stuff you are doing in duty finder (so all content except coil) alone or together with a fairy while the sch is in cleric, 2 sch should be able to finish the content together even without stacking shields. didn't you say the sch is so much more powerfull than a whm? if i can soloheal the stuff as whm, why 2 sch have problems?

i will tell you why: most sch have no idea how their class works. the fairy carries them in 4 people content and the whm in 8 people content. 2 sch don't work in 8 people content because 2 fairies can't handle the job alone.

i like a second whitemage more in a dutyfinder/random group than a scholar, not because of the sync, but because most sch are really bad.

Tell me about it. For all the bragging about how much utility Selene's DPS Pet has, I never see it actually being used. Eos Pets that actually shield tank busters or raid damage are rare, the ones that actually use Virus or Eye for an Eye properly are even rarer and the pets that actually DPS instead of being put on Stay? Practically the unicorn of Final Fantasy XIV. I'm still hoping to see a DPS Pet of Selene that doesn't spam Succor like a dummy.

I'm actually kind of torn on this. While White Mages are straightforward enough so that even a complete noob can play it without screwing it up too hard, there are lots of behaviours with random White Mages that annoy me. Doing dumb things like casting Regen on a person and then immediately casting Cure II on them afterwards, or similarly, using Medica II first and then basic Medica immediately afterwards (especially when raid damage isn't THAT high), wasting the entire HoT. Or using Shroud of Saints when they're at 10 % MP left. Not precasting either (because WHM is reactive healer hurr durr), spamming Cure/Medica for the tiniest scratches, and let's not even get into the terrible discussion that is healer DPS. Meanwhile, Eos' DPS Pet will at least, in all its stupidity, keep Succor up to mitigate raid damage (considering its long duration, it practically never goes unused) and Eos does a good job at healing on her own, even if her assistant is blatantly terrible. The Eos team will also never pull aggro to make tank life hard, unlike stupid Medica II spammers.

I dunno, might just be me being a White Mage main that makes me notice bad White Mages more. Although I'm also kind of the opinion that a bad Scholar simply causes a lot less havoc than a bad White Mage.

Can't say I prefer 2 SCH in a DF group, but every content in DF can easily be done with 2 SCH.

Problems usually arise when there is no communication and both are used to dpsing in fights, you get some "oh shit" moments.

OP is basically asking for SCH shield to stack, seeing as whitemages can stack HoTs.
While I wouldn't want them to stack completely, I could imagine the second succor for example adding like 10%-20% to an existing succor from another SCH.
Would make a second succor feel less wasted, maybe.

Unless you want to use only one buff there is no reason to have 2 Selene out.

It really is not a problem all the way upto T9 content.
I can even solo heal T7 as SCH.
Not sure what content you are having trouble with as double SCH to be honest with you.

When i'm paired with another whm on easy content i just go full dps. There is no reason to heave 2 healers healing, scholars can do exactly the same.

Funny thing is, he's a SCH supremacist.

You should retire the white mage and main a scholar until the issues with the job is worked out. Lack of true utility and pure healing as its only sticking point is going to be a major negative in Heavensward when scholars and Astrologians will be recruited or raids will most likely make you have a backup healer at max level.

There's a reason no one pays attention to him.
