At first I just changed my Miqo'te into an Au Ra:

It's nice to play with the charakter creator but in the end I really love my cat.

So? That's not unique to Miqo'te. The game only has but so many options to choose from. XIV's character creator isn't exactly the most robust one on the market.

Overlap has been, is, and always will be common. For all the races.

It's more like a situation feeling.. Like when you buy a different car. You may not recall ever seeing one like it local... Until you purchase, and then you see the exact model and color 6 times over the same week. Lol

I'm still working on it.. Gonna try my damnedest to be unique-ish. ^^
