Posting to add my support to this idea. The horns being locked to a face is rather restrictive and considering SE is heralding Au Ra as being the race with the most customization, this should be a no brainer.

I have +1'd this <3
+1 on this. I want face 1 with horns from face 3 for my Au Ra. I'm now forced to use face 3.

I don't care either way. They're way too anime for me as is ><
Square, can we have an OCE fanfest now?
+1
Please make the horn and face options separate.
Adding my support. This is something I'd really like to see, if possible.
Yes! All the likes, ALL OF THEM! I feel that even though I think I did a good job on making my Au Ra with the default options (at least, Lily anyway), I feel like the creative freedom is still lost because there were some features of the other faces that I would have really liked to have, but couldn't because of the horn selection.
I'm hoping that they did it this way just because it's the benchmark, and the final product will have them separated, but one can never be too careful! So, an upvote for the hope of getting a bit of the character creation creative freedom back!

I'm going to chip in by mentioning that when the faces are linked to horns, you can tell right away who used what face. However, in other races, it is hard for me to tell who is using the same face at times. Having the horns linked to faces really takes away a lot of the identity and uniqueness that you attach to a singular character.
+1 from me too, would really love to be able to choose horn style/size for the face I like![]()
That's only because the horns stick out. Even if you look at other faces you could easily tell what each person picked such as the marking of a miqo'te. I think what people aren't realizing is that Au Ra is balanced in tune with the other races, if they added the option to customize the horns then the Au Ra would actually have more options than the other races.I'm going to chip in by mentioning that when the faces are linked to horns, you can tell right away who used what face. In terms of unique features that aren't shared there is
Hyur/Roegadyn= Muscles, Tattoos, Tattoo Color (3)
Elezen/Lalafell=Ear Shape, Ear Size (2)
Elezen=Ear Clasp, Ear Clasp color (2)
Lalafell=Tattoos, Tattoo Color (2)
Miqo'te/Au Ra=Tail shape, Tail Length (2)
Miqo'te=Tattoo, Tattoo Color (2)
Au Ra= Limbal, Limbal Color (2)
Scaled are Facial Features just with a different name but when you look at the above adding horns as another customization option would of multiplied it's advantages to other races by quite a bit.
Cause with the above you have the following:
Hyur/Roeg have 3 unique options
Elezen/Lalfell/Miqo'te/Au Ra have 4 unique options
Hyur/Roeg have 20 total option
Rest have 21.
The way they have setup CC is to have each race with 2 unique features and for the Au Ra it's their tail and Limbal eyes. Because of this the horns do become attached to the face otherwise they are adding a lot of data into the system.
Pretty much if you add the option of "horns' then you have to add one more thing for each race.
