There is no Manifest Destiny involved. I'm expressing disappointment that we are excluded. I have that right. Sorry if it doesn't' meet with your standards of approval. Perhaps I should ask your permission to express my feelings. SE does read these boards and I think they should know that other groups would like to have been included. It's pretty simple.
I'm not talking about an advantage time wise. I could care less about that. I would simply like to be able to participate now just like all the PC users are able to. I've learned to wait for many things in life and I'll get my chance when I have that opportunity. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.
I wish they would release a character creator for tablets, it would be nice to be able to play with it while waiting for queues or fates. ^^

If that is the case I would like all games to be release on the console and PC at the same time please. :O (Shots fired). I couldn't care less because I own both but I hope you see where im coming from? Can't have everything homie. The sooner you accept this, the sooner you will accept that it isn't the end of the world.
They're called teh lolmasterrace for a reason.
Console players pay the same as PC players. You don't need PS+ to play FFXIV, just the normal subscription.
To answer to the OP that was kind enough to quote what I said. The company decided to implement every new feature for the PC players to test it. PS 3/4 don't need it cuz the video games made for that platform is already customize to run without having a problem to upgrade it like us. One thing that it would be good is to give that option to Mac players because they too need to check if their computer have all the required video cards and other parts to run the game smoothly. It's as if you don't want the PC player try out just the character creation cuz u can't since u mainly play on ur ps3/4. Just use ur computer and download it and try it out. Why are you excluding you from using that program. There are options to get access. If you are going to give the excuse of saying but I want to use it on my ps3/4, then you are just giving whines.
Unfair advantage in
WHAT?!
There is no advantage here! People create their Au Ra (or whatever other new character they want) and save it before Heavensward.
What, do appearances matter that much? Or am I missing something here? It's not like we're actually playing the gods damned game.

Three Ilm Knights, One Thousand Malm Road
Last I recall, the point of a benchmark is to see how well your machine performs running the game. I also recall the console version not needing one because almost all settings are predetermined and optimized to work the most efficiently on PS3/PS4. Team made sure to post the video on YouTube so you could see the benchmark video.
As for the Au'Ra character creator. I have a hard time believing you can afford a PS3/PS4 and not own some form of desktop PC. Download it, make your character, make notes of which features you used, then take the entire 10 minutes when the game comes out to make it. No one will be lv.60, beaten all the content, and trashed the AH house about the time you make it.
The lack of understanding in this thread is incredible. If you want to play around with a benchmark, then get a pc. This was created for a PC because it tests components that directly relate to gameplay. Consoles do not need this check because they have a standard hardware the game is catered to fit to. Yes the benchmark gets a new race creator along with it, which is cool, if that's really a huge deal to you maybe you should invest in a PC as I highly doubt any game maker will be releasing a benchmark for a console because all consoles games run on the same specs/hardware. It's not "fair" is not a valid argument. This is a tool released for people to test the specs of their PC to ensure they can play the game, with a character creator thrown in.
If they wanted to appease the console crowds they could have just had an update this morning to include the new race in the present character creator, but they like the rest of us probably felt like it wasn't needed.
