That it does! And though reproduction and physical intimacy is something many people shy away from talking about, it's a very important subject in regards to physiology (or rather biology).

Actually good question. Let's guess whether the scales are bone or chitin, and what colors the scales black in Xaela Au Ra! Should help get peoples' minds out of the gutter?

Based on what was said, it seems like their horns will be their "ears"

Yeah it seems that their horns function in a way similar to the ones togruta have.. i am guessing that they pick up vibrations and turn them in to sound? I just hope that doesn't mean that getting one damaged is akin to breaking your eardrum x.x;; because ow..

Also since I brought it up I sort of wonder at the difference in scale colors, generally what has attributed to current differences in subraces has been their territorial habits at work(seekers and keepers, mid and highlanders ect) so what could have happened to make their scales become their current color.. I wonder if maybe xaela scales are harder or thicker because of their warlike nature, or if the vivid black is like a "warning" color

I love horn rings on character designs! Horns that are supposedly the instruments of hearing getting piercings on the other hand, I'm just imagining how uncomfortable that would be at first. Dx Granted there are probably parts that aren't sensitive.
