Necromancer will never be a player class, due to the game's narrative - although the revival of the dead is stated repeatedly as being technically possible, it's shown repeatedly that the end result not being exactly the most ideal situation (and the fact it actually destroyed a citystate through zombie apocalypse doesn't help either).

Thus necromancy is regarded as not only strictly forbidden, but virtually blasphemous - it is so taboo even the THM's Guild refuses to talk about it. In much the same way that SMN's do not summon a full Primal due to narrative reasons, the game's backstory strictly forbids any kind of Necromancer Job I'm afraid.

Ranger however, I did consider could be a possible second job from ARC (especially given the fact the ARCs of Gridania's God's Quiver call the patrols they undertake in the Black Shroud 'rangings'), but as Yoshi already shot down the possibility of all classes getting secondary Jobs due to SCH's failure, sadly I don't see it being added to the game.

On the contrary, there is a certain NPC in the desert who swears that he hears them through the chasm. If you're talking about "blasphemy", then there are a few things that come to mind that "have been allowed to happen" in the story line. Shiva being the first thing. He laying with dragons is a heinous crime, and yet here she is. Another comes to mind, but it would ruin a certain part of the main story, so I will talk in riddles. It involves a certain crystal and a bad guy. That was suppose to be impossible to do, and yet it happened.

There is no such thing as "impossible" in a video game, and every story has those that dare to go against all teachings. Satasha HM anyone? Chalk full of dead... things. I could also come up with a plausible story line that could introduce necromancer in some form or fashion that doesn't destroy the entire balance in Eorzea. All it takes is dedication, some time, and some effort.
