I'm not saying that. Allow me to summarize my argument:

RMT Traders have found it unprofitable to use /tell spam on JP servers due to differences in enforcement mechanisms (and possible availability of safer avenues to buy gil). The fact that the sellers can spam the NA/EU servers with impunity and it helps them get more customers drives the rates of gil buying up in those data centers.

Were SE to implement better controls on NA/EU servers, the rates would drop drastically along with the number of compromised accounts. My theory is that they would drop to levels similar to the JP data centers.

I don't think the majority of players on ANY data center buy gil. Calling NA/EU players "incompetent" is pretty lame btw.

Your enforcement differences refer to the text filters, is that right? The text filters mainly deal with web addresses, but then, even JP web addresses are in english, so that really makes not much difference. There hasn't been a major crackdown on gilbuyers so far, so all avenues are equally safe so far.

I called NA/EU players who buy gil incompetent, and I will stick to that. I will also call ALL gilbuyers of ANY race incompetent. This is one generalisation I will make.

I imagine it's already mentioned, but Guildwork has a built-in filter that you can use if you are using the Guildwork plugin. I've not received gilseller spam in many months with it.

It's not the perfect solution, but it's better than nothing, which is the only alternative right now.

You've done nothing but generalize in most of your replies. You're actually getting dangerously close to "weeboing" here and I hate using that word. There also doesn't have to be a lot of players who buy gil, there just needs to be enough. The very fact that RMT exist on JP servers in the first place (even in small amounts) is proof that plenty of players over there use their services.

Generalisation is to make sweeping statements, and usually starts with "ÁLL", or "NONE". Saying 'many' or 'few' is not a generalisation. Otherwise everything except 'équal amounts' would be a generalisation!

The text filters deal with keyword searches as well. Near as I can tell from visiting several sites that have also prompted me to do full virus scans on my machine, your server has an ample number of gil buyers based on the supply numbers and price.

Theres one bot on excalibur that just sends friend requests but his name is the website the <r> /blacklist /deny doesnt work as he doesnt send you a tell.
Also if you get another tell before hitting that macro it doesnt work so there are limitations to its usefulness..

There are definitely RMT selling gil in all servers, just because they charge the same doesn't mean they are selling the same. It would anger customers to charge differently according to servers.

You're calling me on it? I'M calling MYSELF on it! You DO have a lot more incompetent gilbuying players on your NA/EU servers causing these RMT problems. I have said already, and I will say again. There are more incompetent gilbuyers among the EU/NA community than there are in the JP community. Race card PLAYED. I stand by my claim that RMTs don't make enough profit in JP servers to risk losing ad spam accounts, showing that RMT activity is low there.

And you really believe jp servers get some special filters that the na servers don't get?

You don't think if there was money to be made the gil sellers wouldn't find a way around it?

It just really seems like you're reaching... When the simplest explanation is just that the market is smaller.
