I'm all for knee-length skirts, but I can do without the heels.

There are already some shorter skirts like this one

Here's a glamour with the Alchemist lowers, I mentioned. Damn shame, you have to be in Alchemist mode to wear it!
This is my new "Gold Saucer" fancy-dancy clubbing go-to outfit![]()
I considered that but hesitated to call it a skirt. It also comes with massive ugly socks and is completely undyable.
And if you would like to count it, that makes a grand total of 2. Neither of which are dyable. Neither of which are neutral looking. Among a sea of all kinds of short miniskirts.
Either more variety or something plain and dyable would nice.
Yes, but the 2 alone show that the devs can create those skirts. They only have to do now more of them. Also crafted versions.
This isn't as "short" as it actually appears, y'know...it actually covers the entire thigh, but the "torn" parts are transparent.
As i mentioned before, skirts are going to be limited by the model's points of articulation. Only by using tricks like this one can they get around it.
Oh goodness no. There's a lot to be said for wearing practical clothing when travelling cross country or through dangerous dungeons. Heels have their place, but it's not in Eorzea.
One thing that bugged me in other MMO's is their insistence on putting female characters in high-heels. In many of those cases they remodel the character's foot around the idea of wearing heels so the back of the foot seems chunkier than normal if you remove them. This is how they maintain the same height for the character despite essentially walking around on tip-toes. I don't mind a bit of a heel on some footwear, but high heels make no logical sense.
Try jogging in high heels without breaking the heels off or tripping over. Honestly, the most I can manage is a brisk walk.
