Almost certain most of the peeps in this topic mean other than in T12, wouldn't know for sure personally since...well, one I'm not the other people and two I've never done T1 let alone T12 lol.

I always try to raise ASAP when I see someone dying. There ARE occasions where this is very difficult, tho... like when you're the second one to bite the dust in a short time and my swiftcast is on CD. Normally on those situations I analyze if the other healer has a big mana pool, and hit my hard raise macro (that sends a chat message warning the other healer I'm hard raising, so he knows the healing's gonna be on him for a while). But if the other healer has like 50% or less mana, I rather wait for swiftcast.
Another thing to consider is that Raise costs A TRUCKLOAD OF MP. Seriously. Like 1/4 of max MP. Maybe you guys don't know that, but raising a fellow player can be the difference between having or not having MP to hold that dmg spike that'll come later, specially if Shroud CD is still a long ways to go. I had my fair share of odin runs where I had almost zero MP on the BEGGINING of Gungnir to heal even through the tank's Sanngetail because I had to raise like 3 people during the first half of the fight, wasting like 2.200 MP (roughly HALF MY POOL) on people who could have dodged that Hall of Stone/Valknut, but didn't. And that isn't even counting the Protect I'll have to throw at ya after you're kicking again which costs ANOTHER 700 MP. Or the Cure IIs to get you back to full health, lest you get tailswiped to oblivion once again with just one blow. Also, have you considered we could be waiting for the end of some party-wide AoE damage to end, which would kill you again a couple of seconds after you were raised? We have LOTS of variables to deal, and need to make a LOT of split-second decisions with the potential of alone meaning the difference between a kill and a wipe.
Bottom line: healing is a complex job, and healers have to make some tough calls every now and then. If you weren't raised, this probably had a good reason behind it.

Sometimes I feel cheated after raising 3 people in a row and the BRD I just raized do not put up the Ballad...

OP has only beaten T5, and i suspect that wasn't a legitimate run
So his only experience is dungeons (where bosses rarely require a raise and you can run back to trash) and The Crystal Tower, (*laughs*)

Some people deserve to be punched in the face.
Well, I raise in crystal tower... Much more commonly than I wish I had to, BTW. Lolz.
I think the OPs post was a jab at certain recent story developments and not an actual complaint.
Why doesn't spoilered text count for the 10char minimum.

What qould be nice is a reraise item that can be used to self raise like in FFXI. Then maybe dungeons etc would not become ragefests.

Well, if this is a spoiler disguised as a gameplay rant, I'm not gonna like it in the slightest, as I've been dodging those till I'll be able to play the 2.55 main scenarion on Friday. Anyhow, if this is one more of those "Why nobody phoenix down'd Aeris?", I'll just add this bit: KO is not Death.
