Patch 2.55 Poetics tome cap

So I was reading the notes and shocked the tome cap was not removed.
As it would not be game breaking to do so as coils and WOD are now no longer have item lock.
With the item lock being removed we normally get new tomes and the currant top tier tomes have there cap removed so why was this not done?

Agreed and it's particularly odd since they made the encrypted tomestones available through the weekly quest. Except it takes about 3 weeks to get enough poetics to buy the weapon so if I go for that I only need to do that quest every third week.

They think extending the pointless grind will give people something to do for the next 3 months. Or something. Who knows, honestly.

Since 2.0, there has always been an uncapped tomestone, and a capped tomestone.

I have a feeling that the system doesn't allow there to be two uncapped tomestones at once, and they don't want to add a new capped tomestone this close to the expansion.

I only bring this up cause I cant always get my tomes every week due to work load so it would have been good for the weeks I do have more time I could have just gone in and swarmed the tomes so I could have caught up gear wise with the rest of my FC. (being the leader and lowest gear is not good for morale)
Well and its a weird move not to have it done but when coils and CT get unlocked its normally the best time for me to catch up but its still going to be a pain for me this time.

This another reason i was hoping so i could have geared up my weapons more then anything else am stuck with ilvl 110 weapons that's really keeping me low geared!

As discussed in previous threads, the cap won't be removed until there is a new Tome tier.
They are probably releasing that with the expansion.

It makes sense to
- remove Mythology tomes,
- downgrade Soldiery to garbage/tradeup status,
- downgrade Poetics to no weekly cap / 2000 softcap,
- introduce a New Tome with weekly cap

all at the same time.

Since the new Tome is not out yet, it makes sense that the cap wasn't removed yet.

You'll just have to spend your time in 2.55 farming WoD and FCoB to gear up.

An FC Mate kept saying with absolute certainty that poetics cap was being dropped this week, there was no doubt that it would be removed. Still capped anyways just in case, on one hand I'm disappointment that I gotta keep capping every week, on the other hand I'm grateful that my capping this week paid off.

Would you want to be quickly bored after a week of farming your i120/i130 gear?

I mean. There has to be an incentive if you want to get the weapons as well. Can't expect everything given.
