When will ff14 stop being free to play?

it will be pay to play when the ps3 version comes out. when os3 drops it will drop with a huge update with most of the content they been working on. i expect it to be just a sucessful as ff11 is now in the first couple of years. i dunno if it wil ever reach ff11 top numbers before the subs cut in half tho.

But a sub of about 3-400k is tops we are gonna get for a while IMO.

Hell yes its hardcore that one dungeon was tough for the majority of players for a good solid 2 weeks!

true. I mean it very well could be very successful in 3 years I mean we can never tell. but I'm sure the ps3 version along with new updates and a complete game well get 3-400k subs in the first year imo

Anyway, hardcore as in the environment, this game is heading in the direction that FFXI is in, of course its not as hardcore as FFXI but its more hardcore than your usual casual MMO, and so its different from WoW..

It will never be like XI (pre cop nerf), not even close, that was hardcore, not FFXI that is now.
Difference is what attracts people...hell it attracted us didn't it? Nothing to do with hardcore.

I'm not insulting anyone in any way...I only treat people how they treat me and that is what I'm doing...and I'm not wrong by saying its heading the way FFXI "IS" (again learn to read my good...umm..friend)
