Usually after a newbie gets kicked from Prae for watching CSs, they're willing to wait for an FC/LS party to form up and run it for them (assuming they care about CSs).

For Soldiery, yeah, lol. I still go there since I'm working on my Animus books for my DRG. Though once I'm done with that... I think I'll stop visiting most of my Duty Roulette dailies. Main Scenario included. I see too much drama go on in Main Scenario. That said:
^This. Stepping into the endgame content was like stepping into a different game for me. I still remember stepping into the first Main Scenario dungeon for the first time, so I wanted to watch the cutscenes. I was a Tank, and other Tank was new too. The others, save for perhaps one or two other members, got sssoooooo frustrated with us, it was appalling. The difference in quality of humans you encounter in FFXIV pre-50 and post-50 are like night and day. When i joined this game, I had not so much a single flame in a duty or dungeon, but the moment i hit Castrum/Prae it was like i stepped into a different game.
It's usually the people who've been playing the longest in MMOs who are the worst people to be around. Something about the grind does things to their minds. FFXIV has very little grind associated with it, which is probably why the community is alot more laidback.
People making runs for zodiac quests, however...
Preferring to be flexible, after making a "Watch Cutscenes" run of the second Main Scenario dungeon, I haven't done so since. (Turned on "Skip cutscenes I've already seen" feature) And I couldn't help but notice even more unneeded behavior unfold when I was skipping the cutscenes myself. Players instantly tackling bosses without waiting for the newcomers to step into the boss room. Yelling at them non-stop when they start watching cutscenes. Demanding them to skip cutscenes in pretty much almost every single damn run I make in Main Scenario Roulette... It's appalling.
There are so many people who are so damn impatient in the Main Scenario dungeons that it's like they completely forgot that they were once new to this game too and wanted to watch cutscenes. Even worse are the ones who never watch the cutscenes (because who cares about the storyline right?) and demand everyone else skips them too. There's just... so many damn things wrong with humanity. I don't even know where to begin with how bad humanity is. I always end up feeling bad for the newcomers in the Main Scenario dungeons as everyone else just wants to press on, and I hardly ever get any say in the matter. And when I do, they usually just press on anyway and leave the newcomer(s) behind.
In short reference to that Zodiac quest though, I never allowed it to affect my mind into being a jerk myself. I was frustrated with the RNG behind it though while trying to get those "dungeon atmas". I think I'll just settle for one Zodiac for now (got my Excalibur) until they increase the drop rate of those "dungeon atmas". The rest of my relics will likely remain stuck at Nexus when they get that far, despite how badly I want the SCH's "Last Resort" Zodiac weapon.
When I created an alt in a different server and was doing the main-story (Implying that I had to run Castrum/Praetorium), I remember a couple of players being worried because there was a sold bonus when the duty commenced. Apparently, new people in dungeons that were made for new people doing the story-questline... is totally wrong and unacceptable. It's like these players, when they created their characters, started at level 50 with everything done. So, yeah, I agree with you. I really don't understand why some players expect to run a story roulette without having new players around...
LOL when ever I have to do these dungeons the opening theme to Sonic X just pops into my head.
If they want watch cs then let them just go on ahead no reason to kick them and if they whine and complain about being left behind and being denied a sense of some kind of immersion.
Just say but we didn't kick you. Its their choice to watch the cs its the other people's choice to either wait or just move along.
You can't always have both.............but it be awesome if you could have both a chocolate chip cookie and cake wait a min....ok not a good example in done.

Kicking a new player from a Main Scenario run seems not only jerkish but bloody stupid. That's 100 Tomes of Soldiery down the drain. Even if you wait for them to watch the cutscenes that's pretty good compensation.
1) peanuts compared to literally any free MMO you can get your hands on. 2) I brought up relic upgrades 3) None of this stuff is integral to enjoying this game, case in point, i don't bother with any of that crap. I got one crafting class to 50 when I joined, and then realized crafting is essentially useless, so i stopped.This. Such basic common sense, I can't fathom how people without it even function.
Relic questline says hi. Crafting and gathering and fishing say hi. PvP says hi. GS says hi. Gearing up says hi. Chocobo breeding/raising says hi. Basically everything beyond 50 are waving hi frantically....
in fact, the only reason i kept playing FFXIV is because the game gives you more than one viable path to everything. There are achievement-based drops (raid gear) with Sol/Poe to act as a buffer to RNG, and then there is grind-based gear (relic, crafting) where you have to do alot of other smaller tasks to get what you want.
Grinding makes people selfish and single-minded. If you're inbetween them and their routine, you're wasting their time, because the reward at the end is all they care about. Of course, this is the whole idea behind roulette, but i'd rather run literally any lv50 dungeon in the game before I run main scenario, reward be damned.

But it put me trough Gladiator school.an then realized crafting is essentially useless, so i stopped.
They were probably already like that before starting their "grind"Grinding makes people selfish and single-minded.
That place is first and foremost for newbs as far as I'm concerned. Berating them or votekicking them is ridiculous, the place can almost be duo'd by higher geared folks. Just carry them and move on.
Seriously... why kick?? Does this content even need a full party to succeed?
