How to make a fool of yourself in one Titan run..

I just made the utmost fool of myself, and I feel so stupid. First of all, I have not played the game since 2013 and have only been to Titan a few times on my bard. I was the healer (WHM) and on first attempt, totally screwed up and was in cleric stance by mistake. 2 more tries later, we beat Titan and then one of my party members notices that I was not a WHM, I forgot to equip my stone. I healed the Titan fight on a conjurer. Sigh. No comms for the healer this time.

Before this fight I did just fine as healer, but I think I was so nervous I just totally did not prepare myself. Anyone else have stupid dungeon stories like this?

I wouldn't sweat it, we've all done stupid things. One time in Halatali hard mode, I was having the worst time keeping the tank up, and finally someone says, "Anavi, you're in cleric's stance." I wanted to crawl into a hole and die at that moment.

I wiped a party in T4 by being in Cleric's Stance. Whoops.

Happens to all of us at some point.

I tanked titan ex in sword oath, didn't notice until 20%. The healers really didn't like it.

In one Dzemael NM run, I was playing my MNK and all went well until the last boss, when the first crystal spawned I went to destroy it, but at some point for looking for positionals I ended up stuck far too deep into the crystal and the boss one-shotted me right there and then with his linear AoE.

After 1 res, I was on weakness and at the very moment I dived under the boss it proceded to insta kill me with its omnidirectional attack (none telegraphed normal attack)

Then got ressed again and tried to go well with it, 2nd crystal spawned and this time made sure to step outside the AoEs, but server lag got me and game decided I should die regardless.

After another res I managed to keep myself alive through cooldowns for a while but still got me... I said "just give up on me please", but still got resed, some times my healer friend is such a sadist D:

I just dived in and died again in less than 1 second... then the battle ended with me having done nothing...

So, I played in one of the Beta's before A Realm Reborn launch. I didn't do any research on any of the classes, partly because I was excited to play and partly because I thought the different roles would be obvious. So, I was playing as a marauder thinking it was a DPS class. I queued up for a dungeon blissfully unaware that I was supposed to be the tank.

Dungeon starts and everyone just stands there. I'm waiting for the tank to go so I could follow and they were waiting for me to go. So after about 2 mins of just standing there I finally ask "So, who is the tank". I got a bunch of lols a few wtfs and a few noobs thrown my way and everyone left. It wasn't until 2 months or so later that I learned marauder was a tank class. I had a good chuckle at myself.

Thanks, I guess I don't feel so bad now, (plus been playing as my bard who I think is more fun anyway). Up until now though, I did great with my Conj/WHM, just don't know why I was so nervous on a normal run Titan

Back when ARR first launched and Titan was a massive hurdle, I was about half way into my two week quest to get it cleared to finish off my relic weapon. I was tanking the fight and it was going perfect, everyone was on the top of their game, we had made it through the heart phase and were closing in on Titan's last few percentages of health...

And then came a wave of bombs. I went to reposition myself...and casually walked off the edge of the arena. Titan was free and bounced around murdering my party. One. By. One.

If it makes you feel better I felt like an utter moron last night running WP(HM). I could not for the life of me avoid any of the last boss AoEs, I ate them all. I was so irritated with myself.
