Breeding my first chocobo.

So I noticed some of the hardcore folks ranking up their birds took them to rank 40 and just bred them with some random.. I painstakingly ranked up two birds to 50 and trained them heavily... yes.. non stop racing. LOL. So gald its over. Better be a fast bird and hopefully the stats are carried over based on parentage and percentage. Fingers crossed.

So it doesn't matter how much work you put into your birds based on stats, your next bird is doing to have a fixed amount of each stat regardless of what you do. So don't bother ranking up two birds to breed. Not yet anyways... Just use one of the coverings from the Gold Saucer and pray to RNGesus. You can also have a significantly better bird than someone else and still lose to them based on RNG. (coffers, weather etc.)

wish there was an instanced chocobo stable we could put at house where we can store our racing and retired chocbos to go say hi once in a while :P

Okay so I got my second bird and it's Grade 2 with all stats and rating starting at 15, what was yours?

I also trained my bird with grade 1 feed and got 2 points out of it. Not sure why or how but I did.

theres a thread in reddit about breeding chocos.. they are spectulating higher pedigree has more chance for giving bonus stats on feeding

I've read through every piece of information I can find on this subject, if you all want me too I can explain how most of it appears to work?
