I still think Summoner should be able to "bind" with their Egi. The rival in the Summoner job quests can do this, Iceheart can do this, so why cant we? I'm not saying turn into a massive primal like Shiva, but gain "armour" depending on what Primal you merge with. Titan merge can be you turning into an emergency tank for several seconds if things go horribly wrong, giving Titan Egi a use in groups. Ifrit Merge can be powerful Single target DPS, and Garuda can get massive AOE power. It would not only make Summoner more interesting to play but make them a significant difference to Arcanist rather than the Egi's being a paint job of Carbuncles with 10 extra potency.
