As SCH ill Adlo+e4e prepull into clerics, SC shadowflare dot n bane, pop rouse, pewpew and watch tanks HP if they need a top up. Rouse ends, pop Fey Illu, drop clerics, adlo tank, back into clerics.

As PLD if with SCH ill pop convalescence pre pull for buffing Adlo, with WHM conv after ive rounded up and flashed em all. On MNK ill Mantra for adlo or regen. As BLM ill apoc the tank if damage is elemental.

What they mean is that with a single Divine Seal, Med2 and regen (and E4E ofc) you can Shroud, cleric and presence of mind a whole lot of holy before you have to heal again in most situations.

I typically Divine Seal => Regen => Cure II => PoM => Holy Spam

As a whm main i don't always holy, you don't really need to, it has low dps for high mana cost and toggling cleric stance takes about 5 seconds which is a long time when the tanks pull 15-20 mobs. IF someone doesn't holy spam no need to keep bugging them about it and make a forum whine post complaining calling people sensitive..don't like role a healer your self and spam holy.

There is no hard, fast rule stating a Whm MUST Holy in duties.

Lol I totally agree.. I once got kicked as a tank by two players joining together. The healer blamed me for getting us killed several times. I kept joining back the same duty until they gave up and left. Surprisingly we never got killed with the new healer.

But holying packs of mobs, on top of keeping EVERYONE stunned for 6 seconds can pull around 1000 DPS. Higher burst DPS then ever a blackmage casting flares.. Even more so if you work with the tank to hallowed ground or holmgang extending the safety time to a ridiculous amount. Don't you like being the best DPS and the healer?

Compared to a BLM the dps is a pretty low, if a Whm is able to out dps the 2 dedicated dps with holy alone then something is wrong with that 2 dps. And if your measuring dps by the aggro chart do not forget stuns and healing also contribute to aggro.
it also costs 500+ mp per use bare that in mind, sure you can spam it but most people are not that confident to burn mp like that and still keep a tank alive. Still no need to whine about it on the forums because someone has a more heal focused healing style and is not confident in spamming holy.

The WHM in Cleric Stance spamming Holy has more AoE potency than a BLM doing a good Flare rotation.

There are a couple of WHM I know who basically don't waste time and effort healing me during trash pulls in the 4-mans. They just Holy spam until the pack is dead, in the incredibly uncommon possibility that my HP gets critical before the pack is dead, he just throws Benediction on me and resumes Holy spamming. Bene is usually back up again before I need another heal in the dungeon, that's how fast the trash packs die. They die before they can kill me from 100% HP to dead with no heals.

Im just defending why people don't always holy spam, its not like you really need to with gear level now most duties are easy mode. The OP went the wrong way about asking, simpling saying "Holy?" Could of put a bit more thought into the question like "you can spam holy if you like?".

In the end its is the player's choice no need to make a post calling people sensitive about it just because they play their class in a manner which suits them.

Everyone has their own play style no need to be an elitist jerk and telling people off for not doing it your way.


P.S Im not targeting you btw, it is just you replied to my post. Im mainly having ago at people who complain about players not doing what they want. Or playing how they want people to play.
