You serious? People still activate towers these days?
People are so overgearred right now, they just Medica II/Medica through the fight and I think KB dies faster than T2 Enrage.

Because the i80 gear is why people do CT these days, not that carboncoat or anything.OP, you want mechanics to be punishable for more challenging effort right? What about the rewards for that? If for some reason I had to deal with more punishing mechanics, but can only get i80 armor loot against 7 other people, I'm not sure I want to do that.
Want more challenging content? Then give more rewarding effort.
Let's not make this become another hardcore-idiocy suggestion please. ^^;
CT has actually been pretty entertaining lately. Players with i120-130 gear thinking they can just overpower the mechanics and wiping everyone. I do appreciate how much more well designed the trash mobs in CT are then in the later 24 mans.

Ran CT1 and (almost) saw an entire alliance of I115's or above wipe to Bone Dragon. It's hilarious. Somehow we managed to heal thru ignoring (forgetting?) the mechanics, but only by the skin of our teeth. I'm talking 100hp or less here in most cases. Forgot how clever the first tower really is.
I love this post.
I'm a WHM main whose only real fun is running Labyrinth of the Ancients ... a lot :x I have seen everything go wrong in that place. From 6 skeletons stacked on the middle platform during Bone Dragon, running out of Pots during Thanatos... Three napalms going off at once on Vassago Fight. To All four towers going off during King Behemoth. I've tanked Iron Giants, I've resurrected entire other teams, (Thank you bards.) I've stood on other groups Pads during last boss to avoid eating another Ancient Flare... I have Wiped on EVERY single fight in that place. Even the Second trash pull!!!! It's incredible.. some of the shit I've gone through.
In CT - If you know what to do... you need to do it for everyone else.
(things people don't understand: adds linking up on atomos, Black Vassagos, Magitech Cannon IG throws at comets... Cleaves...)

Saw my first wipe on Atomos the other day... good times. My entire party was just sort of laughing in disbelief because none of us had ever seen that happen before.
And then in the KB fight I had to man a tower because one of the tanks was off doing who-knows-what.
It's not trolling, people are honestly that stupid and think they can power through/ignore mechanics.
So basically what everyone is saying... it the whole thing hasn't changed in over a year and bad players are still bad players? Why is this a surprise?

On a side note... did they change the Acheron AOE design? I seem to remember it differently from back in the day.... If so, nice change.
The only change to him (I call him Phlegmatron) is that it seems quite a few patches ago his Ancient Flare cast speed seems to be faster. Same mechanics otherwise.
But, despite the MANY queues to get back to pads, people still don't. Order of events:
1. The outer lava covering the pads will vanish.
2. 1 claw on each pad will spawn. After a short pause it will go grab the nearest person at the time that it spawned. If it is hit then it immediately grabs that person.
3. Phlegmatron's sword will change and turn red.
4. Phlegmatron will do 2 special attacks / AOEs.
5. Ancient Flare will start to cast.

MANTASTIC: I got 1017 problems, but playing FFXIV ain't one.
Llyren: Lala Tanks hit point density levels attract small planets
While farming for lights on Scholar, I mostly will run CT and ST back to back. I find ST to be the easier of the two. CT, in my eyes seems to a have TONS of Trolls and not so good players in its ranks. I also find the AF geared, "I just got out of story mode players" better then the item level 110 -115 players in CT. Why?, I 've yet figure it out......
"remember this is just my opinion"

Yeah... mechanics were the same, but the actual AOE graphics were different (not just different variations of the red/back designs). I'll see if I can dig up some old footage so I know I'm not crazy. Or maybe I am.
