My linkshell started throwing away dungeon items last night we've beaten it so much at this point and this with only entering 1~3 a night, probably 2 on average. It isn't difficult with a solid group of players and our strategy seems to be fail proof. I realized last night that we might suddenly be back to sitting in town soon bored out of our skulls.
Hopefully SE gives us some high level and very challenging open world NMs with low drop rates and little room for error.
I feel like that is the best way to keep the 50s occupied right now.
Maybe even have every mob in the game be a place holder for one on a 3 hour window so nobody knows where it will pop.
All I know is i'm a little concerned. I know top tier linkshells are going to be back to boredom by now, if not very soon, and now we don't even have leves to give us reason to log in.
It may have been premature to nerf the leve runs as that, at least, was still a consistent reason to log in, where as the dungeon doesn't have much longer.
I'm not tired of the raids...of tired of the people that do the raids repeatedly...and still can't even make it to the ogre..
Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing
Are you seriously wearing the elitist mask now? You, who was crying for a dungeon nerf and haven't beaten Batraal, are now picking on people who can't beat Ogre?
Maybe you are just angry, but I read it as:
"I haven't gotten to try batraal because none of my groups can beat ogre."
Relax![]()
Get to the Ogre isnt the problem.. I can get there in 20 min if I wanted too its when we get to the Ogre and then when people aren't Organized people will die, its not Necessarly the setup 2 CONs is a def must and a tank yes... BUT 3 ARCs? YEs its a possible win but doesnt that make it the only setup that can?!?! I think people are lazy to try different things. Like I was a LNC.. however I was shooting DOTs at the mob and guess WHAT I got it down to 20% before the Tank died again Wasn't our fault as a team it was the Tank died after the enragement. It was bad louck was all, but this whole GLA ARC ARC ARC CON CON bizziness.. Is not the only way Im sorry
Adding "epic" gear wouldn't really help dungeons, especially since then they'd alway shave to top the gear. What would be nice however is if they had more quest oriented for the dungeons. If I'm correct as it stands now there is only one quest related to both of them and it's no repeatable. What would be nice is perhaps each dungeon had 5-10 quest and doing certain quest changed the whole concept of the dungeon. So rather then a dungeon always be about taking down the bosses, there could be some quest in which the dungeon's anatomy completely changes and instead of fighting the R25 boss you are taking down pirates that are trying to loot hidden treasure in a secret passage or something. In my opinion the two dungeons have a huge design flaw because they are very limited.
Gear is reskinned and exp is OK which will make those two dungeons obsolete with any type of decent content that will be released. There is nothing great about them and there has to be something for them to be used in the future.
Yoshi should've added some truly epic gear that can stand out in those dungeons and maybe some exp quests so that the players would be inclined to do them.
Like I said, if he releases another dungeons with good looking gear at lvl 30 and maybe 50 people will just skip the current two and grind till they get to those. If AF will be at 50 I certainly wont take a step inside the Darkhold, I rather grind.
I'm glad I didn't have all my battle classes maxed, because some of the rank 25 dungeon gear is really nice. It's really fun to level up a class with a nice set of NM/Dungeon gear on.
I think TERA did it great since they got both.Adding "epic" gear wouldn't really help dungeons, especially since then they'd alway shave to top the gear. The mobs inside TERA dungeons drop normal quality items, mini bosses can drop some great items, boss can drop epic items. Those epic items are rare but stand out among higher level items. For example, there is a lvl 27 dungeon and the epic weapon out of there can be only outdone by an epic weapon from lvl 32 dungeon which is the next instance. But than again they designed 3-4 sets of gear for certain levels. Sometimes you out level the dungeon and you wish you could go back.
In addition you have multiple exp quests inside that help you level quick, doing instances in that game is one of the funnest ways to level and most rewarding since you get great exp + possibly best gear.
Careful on mentioning Tera, these guys will report you for "Advertising" and try to get you banned and SE will send you: Relevant sections from the FINAL FANTASY XIV Guidelines:
