    Solution: Make S/A ranks tougher.

    Would it be possible to tie Hunt damage and HP to server population? And, overall, make them tougher? I feel the best way to reduce "early pulls" is by having some measure of certainty that if there arnt enough people there everyone who is engaged, dies.

    EDIT: oh and levelsync them like a fate so it doesnt matter how overgeared you are.

    They already are plenty tough for casual content, it's just that everyone in all worlds are doing them because the rewards are the most current and shiny at the moment. If they were made any tougher you'll have the same situation in a few months as you did during 2.4x; not enough people doing hunts to reliably kill them.

    I was thinking about this earlier when a FC mate of mine said she skips all A ranks now. IIRC, original hunts were set to 4, 8, and 24? people, but 100 showed up for B ranks so SE decided to increase mob hp. Then rewards were nerfed and SE dropped the hp back down (and changed how B ranks were done entirely), right? So what we have now is buffed rewards again, but not the increased hunt mob hp.

    No matter what, hunt mobs are being vaporized in seconds*... even during way off peak hours on a supposedly not-so-populated server. :/

    Something needs to be done.

    *literally... we timed one A rank mob's death to 15 seconds. ><

    Linking hunt mob HP and power to server population is a HORRIBLE idea. That means that, when the craze finally ends (likely because Heavensward launched), NOBODY will be able to kill the hunt mobs because it's impossible to get a few hundred people together to kill one monster for out-of-date rewards.

    A BETTER solution is to stop pretending that Hunt marks aren't unmarked NM FATEs, and scale them based off the number of people that fought them last, and then have them despawn after a set amount of time. B ranks obviously don't need this as they are now, A Ranks can stick around for about 12-18 hours (with the respawn timer starting at the time they spawn rather than the time they die), and S-ranks lasting an entire day/day-and-a-half. Oh, and also make it so they're non-hostile by default, so they don't inconvenience people that don't want to deal with Hunts.

    However, the BEST solution, would be to MAKE THEM WORK LIKE THEY DID IN FINAL FANTASY XII! Seriously, between Levequests and Treasure Maps, they've literally got all the systems in place to do something like that...

    Also, while we're talking about solutions to problems, it'd be nice if SE would finally lift the 1000 character cap on initial posts...

    You cant offer a solution where no problem exists. The hunts were not designed to be killed by the whole server there's supposed to be competition, sure its nice when people wait for you but if you are trying and failing to get full cred solo that's not the games problem, some full parties can't get max cred if there's too many people.

    You aren't supposed to be able to get full credit without a group, heres another idea how 'bout every time a hunt is killed everyone on the server is issued seals *end sarcasm* since you want everything handed to you any way

    Id love to see A and s ranks get a huge jump in hp. hunts are ridic on big servers. I tried to hunt and by the time the -main- hunt ls found and called, it was already claimed and dead before people finished teleporting. It's a bad system imo. I wouldn't mind seeing weekly board b's go to daily, that would help too

    Yeah. Some form of HP scaling absolutely needs to be implemented so that when they're popular we aren't just melting them and when they aren't popular smaller groups of people can still do them. A level sync isn't a bad idea either, especially since level cap is going to be raised soon.

    Instead of this, I'd rather they change how participation works. It will be extremely helpful to make it manageable getting full credit without a group.

    Case 1: Player A solo attacking from 100%-0% of mob HP --- bronze credit
    Case 2: Player B in a group landing a single attack --- full credit

    Rank As are designed to be killed by a single group within a couple of minutes. 8 players and 60+ players are just too great of a difference to bring in any reasonable adjustment.
