There was one time back in 2.0 when I got into WP as dps and the PLD tank pulled without having Shield Oath on. One of the other members said "Shield Oath please" and the tank quickly replied "Stfu I know, I'm not a fucking moron!"

aye lot of that too. even when trying to politely help people get better with their class it's usually met with nothing but aggressive behavior. so bad i just gave up on trying to help people with classes i know a lot about. not worth the annoyance anymore

@ OP, my first ime in a dungeon as healer, I'll not DPS much due to not knowing when spike damage will come, also if a DF tank, chances are I wont DPS on the first pull due to too many tanks not knowing what defensive cooldowns are for, aka they dont use em XD

If tank stays healthy during first pull and I know the dungeon, then I'll be DPSing as much as possible while rotating buffs on Eos so she can keep people alive while I pewpew, of course swithcing to drop an Adlo if needed then switch back to DPS.

But, when players know the dungeon and just stand doing nothing for a large part of it, don't they get bored? Or they are FFXI players where you stand around doing nothing anyways for soo much of the fight. Stun SCH for the snooze XD

Magic damage reduction buff so less damage to heal, means I can pewpew more, extra AE heal/hot, buff mu heals and Eos so my Adlo and Succor shields for more, so I can pewpew more ^_^ Pop Fey Illu+Rouse and Eos heals like a baws XD

Eos, overall brings more than Selene, which has been tested and calculated that BLM gets the most benefit from Selene and that is about a 1% DPS increase, Whereas Eos allows the SCH to DPS even more. Not to mention, like in t13, Fey Covenant for giggleflare saves a aetherstack for other uses.

I call it giggleflare :P If he did a pelvic thrust while casting, t'would be called Giggityflare!

Selene is better with a high population of magic dps with spell speed buff. Skill speed buff wouldn't be as useful but if you have a lot of melee or bards it would be useful to use it.

4 peeps, wouldnt take 2 BLMs, no point. 8 peep? Wouldnt take more than 1 BLM or SMN. Also no point ^_^ SCH doing 200-250 DPS is more than a 1% increase to BLMs DPS, just sayin ^_^

With the promised upcoming changes to SpS and SkS in 3.0 Selene may become overall more usefull depending on how they change it to, supposably, make it as usefull as det/crit, but for now Eos>>>>Selene XD

I please ask you to call out your source and test again, but this time with the blm in range and with the buff actually on. This statement is true but only the part about your own pewpew purpose, which I agree is the best. But not for your party with even only one blm. I have a dps increase of almost a 40% with Selene and not just once, always. The spell speed gained is insane and definetly is to choose over an Eos that benefits your pewpew performance. You might agree with me, it's better to make the actual dps in the party stand out than the healer's pewpew. I as a sch rather have the blm (since he has the job) do more damage than little me on cleric stance trying to match the blm.
