Maelstrom PvP premades... nearly impossible? (Queue woes)

On Leviathan, we've been trying to get into FL as a full 8 man group on several occasions only to have a 1-2hr wait time and member/leader disconnects that happen inbetween due to 90ks or internet issues don't help. We CAN get in eventually and get a few games in if we queue after every match but we rarely are able to do it because of the queue time. We monitor things while in the PvP LS I own and people who queued alone would get in many times before we got a single pop.

I've heard of the Flames on our server getting 5-15 minute wait times as an 8 man, yet why can't Maelstrom get into games as a full premade? We've resorted to mostly solo queuing mainly and hoping we get in together and if not, we'll wait for in progress and let each other know if a spot is open if we are on the same VoiP or chat program. It'd be nice if the queuing system could be addressed at some point because I have no idea how it works when it comes to solo vs. group priority.

Anyone else having this issue?

This isn't a Mael issue.
Every Grand Company has the same problem when trying to queue with 8mans. We had a massive Twin Adder Linkshell at one point and only ever once managed to get in together.

Best bet is to queue at the same time solo :P

I thought so too, but how do you explain the Flames on Leviathan being able to get in within a reasonable amount of time? They queue as a full premade from their linkshell nearly all the time and it works A-OK for them. :/ Sometimes a group and a half! Lol. There is also an Atlas FC premade that appears pretty often from Flames along with this one Adder premade from Muffinsecks FC on Excalibur that I see in nearly every game at a certain time (Barack' Obama and company).

In my 600-700+ FL games so far, I have probably seen less than a dozen full Storm premades running including when my linkshell has done it. It's usually a mishmash of regulars and new people in a vast majority of my alliances.

i've been trying to wrap my head around this too but going to guess that flames / adders have less people queuing than maelstrom. Even when i pt with 1 other person the queue times commonly jumps >30min whereas if i solo it can be 15 min or less.

This is even when the queues should be dead and when I generally get into the same matches with the same people on Maelstrom from match to match with the exception of one or two others. It's just really strange to me.

They need to permit us to FL/Wolve's Den just for fun against our friend's premades.

This would be a solid way to implement dueling without much of the abuse.

Perhaps only give us the "Request Duel" option in the Wolve's Den Pier.

Could be the same essentially to party leaders forming up a premade Alliance, restricted to inside the Pier.

Just did a match against two out of three fully premade Adder groups (Hyperion/Excalibur) on Primal... Cometeor spam.

When you build something, you start with your largest pieces first.

Find it odd that premades take longer to queue. I suppose if you worked as a hunt party that kept DF up, that's one way to stay constructive.
