Thanks for nothing SE on 3 star crafting!

Well I just blew up 18 Echtal Seals in 2 days and what do I have to show for it! I NQ BSM offhand and 2 botched that the 90% reclaim said a big middle finger too.

I don't know how anyone can HQ a BSM artisan offhand starting at 709 Quality and not hitting all 9-10 HT, ( I never did ).

Giving up on this crap. I'm not spending another 6 days to get another try. What a joke.

BTW my Craft is 413, Control 379, and CP with food is 393. Was using this rotation

    CZ-IQ-PbP-SH2-HT-HT-HT-HT-HT-MMII-HT-HT-HT-HT-HT-SH2-PbP-GS-Ing2-WN-BB-CS2X3.

Need at least one ToT to finish properly. I could never hit 9+ on the IQ stacks so I was just reclaiming trying again. Well like 2 out of 3 times of 90% I got shafted.

I got to 98% using this when I made mine:

Obviously luck is still involved. Not sure how different the outcome would be to what you're using though since they're similar enough.

Definitely looks like your rotation. I've made cout less artisan and 4 star items - only had one piece blow up and come out NQ.

I would stack all your progress abilities at the beginning so you can finish with one careful synthesis 2. Drop ingenuity 2 and start using rapid synthesis.

I think trying to stick by a strict rotation on 3-stars or higher is counter-productive... The only "rotation" part should really just be the progress steps. You have 10HT steps in your rotation. With an 80% success rate, you can expect 2 of them to fail (will rarely be the case due to rng).
I prefer to keep it flexible, hit almost every ToT chances I get, 2-3 CZ, and aim for like 14-15 HT's. Unless I get really really unlucky on ToT chances, getting 10-11 stacks for Byregots aren't uncommon. You'll need another MMII or Manipulation in there at least though if you're going that route...

Maybe you should start by examining how your crafting approach fails first, instead of blaming the game because you don't know what you're doing. Hitting 100% on 3* from 0 quality is easy.

Pro tip: The only hard rotation to use on 3/4* crafting is when you want just make NQ.

You should really craft without sticking to a strict rotation. It's counter-productive since many things can go wrong in a craft which you need to adapt to. Hitting ToT as much as possible and popping CZ if you know you have enough time left to utilize it is a great way to extend the length of a craft and conserve CP.
You may also want to consider dropping Ingenuity II and picking up Rapid Synthesis, to use a progress rotation of PbP + RSx2 + Careful Synth II without needing ingenuity 2. CP is your most important asset

^I use this rotation with fully Melded everything except off hand tool and used Artisan's Gown for my body piece. No ToT needed. I even replace ToT with Reclaim. <.<
My stats were 403 Craft (413 with FC Buff), 381 Control (391 with FC Buff), 391 CP with food buff.
If the Rapid Synthesis fails, count it as a failed Hasty Touch, so replace one of the Hasty Touch in normal condition with Rapid Synth.

I crafted Wolfram Ingots as practice and it turns out great. So, I also use it for Artisan's Off hand tools.

It works. Maybe because I'm lucky though. But it works.
There are some Hasty Touch fails in real condition, but there are also some Good/Excelent condition Hasty Touch success in my real practice.

I planned to reclaim if there are too much Hasty Touch fails.

Um.....That's probably why you never hit 9-10 HT.
You don't use SHII for those 5 HTs. That would require an extreme amount of luck.

Placing Waste Not before Byregot's Blessings like that might be a bad idea as well.
If Excellent Condition pop up when you need to use waste not, Byregot's Blessings won't do much because of poor condition.
On the other hand, if you choose to move Careful Synthesis II to avoid Poor condition, all those buffs like GS you set up before, will be for naught.

Afaik, the new tools are no different from any other 3-star crafts. Your rotation has room for improvement.

My rotation I use for 3-star uses no ingenuity or PbP, which saves a lot of CP. I do 3 RS under SH2 near the beginning, 1 CS2 in the middle when SH2 is down, and one more CS2 to finish. Use ToT every time it comes up, except towards the very end depending on your situation. I usually get in 3 uses of comfort zone. If you have average luck with ToT, you should be able to do a second MM2. When I am up to Byregot's, if I have the CP, I will use Inn and Ing1, but if a good condition pops, I will hit BB without waiting for those two buffs. I don't worry if I don't have enough CP for those buffs because IQ stacks are more important.

I am using pre-2.4 BiS, except my main tool is artisan instead of Supra and I use HQ bouillabaise. Ymmv if your equipment is different. I would recommend practicing on other 3-star crafts where less is on the line.

To continue off this, you don't refresh comfort zone when it falls off.
Do some research beforehand on rotations, and test them out with simulators to see if you can actually finish or how secure they are.
